    Possibly An Admin Question

Thanks for the welcome, Stan in KY. My interests are to do some plinking (I'm sure friends and family will enjoy it too) and reduce the tree rat population by eating a few.

Thanks for the reply. I was simply checking if there were other options. I got it, there isn't. :)

    Possibly An Admin Question

I understand the 10 day 10 post thing. I there a legal way for me to reach a "seller" to buy a item when I can't PM them? I am concerned the item may be sold by the time I hit the lifting of the restriction.

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

Thanks for all of the replies and for all of the information. And for not making me feel like a dummy with all my questions. :) I am definitely leaning towards the PCP side. There are several factors, including lack of recoil, ease of follow-up shots, and adjustability. It seems a little more...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

Coastal Drifter, If I was financially wealthy, I would follow your suggestion. :giggle: I don't even know anyone that has an air rifle for me to try. And I live in a remote area and there aren't any stores that carry them so, no options to try beforehand.

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

LongshotFan, Thanks for the reply. I definitely want to deal with the squirrels but, I think I will enjoy plinking some of the different target outside of paper targets. Recoil does concern me and that is why I was considering a model with some kind of management system. Another concern is if...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

Thanks for your reply. I am seeing that the PCP route can be costly. Several posters have mentioned going with a manual pump to save money. But, I know from inflating beds and tubes for pulling my kids behind my boat, that manual pumping can be some work. I wonder how much work is it to manually...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

JimD, Thanks for the reply and all of the information. You got me really considering a PCP. I have looked up the models you suggested and researching other models in my budget. I definitely want an accurate model. Question, a regulator will help with consistent pressure and help with accuracy...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

Thanks for the reply. The HW30 is a break barrel. From my limited knowledge a break barrels tend to be the least accurate of the 3 (including the Underlever & PCP) correct? And they tend to wear at the break open point, correct?

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

Stan, Thanks for your reply and the welcome. I do like the HW97 but that is outside of my current budget. But, I may have to go that route and increase my budget. There are a couple other rifles to consider if I go up to $800 area. As far as the pests, I would like to limit the number of...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

TR, Thanks for the welcome and the reply. Since you are on the PCP side. Do you feel it's an inconvenience to keep your rifle charged? Do you have your own pump and additional storage tank? I have looked at the Weihrauch and I would need to increase my minimum amount and then that opens up a...

    New Need Help Choosing Rifle

I am new to this forum, just signed up hours ago. And new to the adult version of air rifles 😀. I joined the forum to learn and get opinions from those who are in the know. I would like to find a rifle to use for varmint hunting and plinking. To provide a little more context, for many decades...
