I have the Wildcat as well, and unless you just must have the smallest case that will work, I'd suggest going up a size. Personally, I prefer more than just a bare minimum of padding on either end, top, and bottom. Also, don't forget to measure for height after you've mounted your scope...

I did pay with PP, and refused seller's request to go the "friends" route. However, the personal cost and hassle of that fight outweighed the cost of repairing the unit.

You won't need to, imo. The difference between stock and 850 won't make a difference for birds. Plenty of power to do what you want.
