What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Interesting thread. I like to make my own targets for two reasons, one I want everything to be at exact sizes and second I shoot most of the time at my home range and use target boxes which limit the area you can shoot safely IMHO. Using GIMP the open source graphics program allows me to make my...

    What’s with JSB these days

Rimfire ammunition took a 15-20% hike early this year. SK, Lapua and Eley all took similar increases and tariffs could increase them another 25%. It’s the value of our money that is dropping due to governments printing money and not learning to budget.

FWB Feinwerkbau 800 Universal cocking lever?

Overall I like it. The build quality seems good. I looked at the LG 400 also. It came down to grip and hand fit. It didn’t hurt that the FWB is built in Oberndorf which is also Mausers home. I lived several miles from Oberndorf when I was young and collect many weapons made there.

FWB Feinwerkbau 800 Universal cocking lever?

If anyone is curious the 800x is a perfect fit and allows multiple adjustments on the right hand side.

    Garmin XERO C1 update 3.30

I wasn’t able to find the 3.32 update but I tried the down range feature. This is shooting my FWB 800 at 25 yards. First with the Xero at 20 yards and then at the muzzle. It’s a great excuse to own multiple units.

FWB Feinwerkbau 800 Universal cocking lever?

I guess I’ll be the Guinea pig. I ordered one of the 800x cocking levers. Due to eyesight I had to buy a left handed rifle but prefer a cocking lever on the right and the 800x allows you to clock the lever in any of 360 degrees. This should allow larger scopes without interference. I’ll update...

FWB Feinwerkbau 800 Universal cocking lever?

I recently purchased a new LH Feinwerkbau 800 Universal with the cocking lever on the left hand side. On the 800 universal the cocking lever from the factory will only ratchet up no matter if you get the LH or RH model. When I look at the 800X I see it uses a cocking lever that allows you to...

    Replica's

As an avid shooter and collector of both revolvers and WWII handguns I think I've picked up most of the replicas at gun shows over the years and held them. I've yet to see one that couldn't be spotted as a replica from several feet away and when you pick them up there is nothing similar in the...

    Garmin XERO C1 update 3.30

My Xero is updated to 3.30 so I turned the option on and will check to see if I can detect any difference when I shoot today. Looks like 5 mph winds this morning. :)

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

It goes without saying that good quality doesn’t always equal good results but if you start with poor quality I’ve never seen excellent results. The reason I ask is I’m familiar with center fire brands and .22lr brands but didn’t know who made quality pellets to try. So far the same companies...

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I did get to try a couple of the suggested pellets today. The R10 performed as good or better than the JSB Exact and the 10.34 JSB shot like a shotgun. It is pretty windy today. I tried to shoot at 40 yards but the wind is gusting. At 25 yards the first 8 yards is enclosed so the wind doesn’t...

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I did order several different weight JSB pellets to try. I’ll get a some HN as well. With rim fire ammunition I have a wide variety but I have many different rifles and I each has their own preference.

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I’m not sure how I would turn this up if I wanted to. First I just wat to see how accurate it can be stock. Being a 10 meter gun I think it’s designed to remain low power. It is very consistent. With Tenex it averages 565 fps and they are 8.2. I did try some lighter RWS and they averaged 630fps...

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I want to shoot something in the 8-12 g range and I currently get about 300 shots before I see any changes in velocity. So far the Tenex has yielded the best results. The guys at champion choice suggested I try some of the JSB pellets. I may try some slugs to see how they do. It’s been so windy...

    Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I did some searches but didn't see any meaningful results to my specific topic. I've found that like with all guns ammunition or projectile quality makes a huge difference in accuracy. When I got my Feinwerkbau 800 I picked up some Tenex air from Eley , some RWS R10 as well as some inexpensive...
