Your spring probably got bended a bit from use , when there's some bend in it there is less twang . But i don't understand why they donw't make the springguide to fit the spring beter, how hard can it be? I put a tin- bum kit in my hw50 , costs nothing and now it's a short "tjok" sound

Can you explain why a heavier pellet would be harder on the spring ? my opinion it is just the other way around because a heavier pellet is harder to "launch" and reduces the speed the piston hits the "end off the compression tube" more

I agree that your set-up is too hot and not economical Lower reg presure ,about 110 bar , lower hamerspring tension , i guess you're waisting a lot off air remove the barrel if you Got a stuck pellet ,so you can push it out away from the breach
