I can understand your reservations, but that can apply to any of the FX range, but thankrfully most problems are solvable. I am in the UK, and very close to the main importer. I have been back to them several times with Impacts, but never with the King.

I have had a few Impacts. No real problems until the MK4 variable FPS reared it's head. Switched over to a 600mm King. Super accurate and super consistent. Zan 25.5's at about 920 FPS all I need out to 100m. Don't see too many gripes about the King on the forums. BTW.....easy to tune. Start on...

I think the problem is as stated, the valve rod needs polishing. Getting mine done next week by the UK importer (who happens to be a friend of mine). If that does not resolve the problem, then with a certain degree of reluctance, I am switching over to an FAC Huntsman!!!!

Put nearly a 1000 pellets through my Fac Mk4 and still the same problem. It has been back to the dealer / UK importer 3 times and even they are at a loss. The one thing I would say is that the accuracy is still brilliant. FX need to understand what QC stands for. Hope they read this..... highly...

Had a similar problem with my new Fac Mk4 Impact. The first shot is always 20 to 25 FPS slower than the rest of the string. Throws all of the performance figures out of the window! Take it out and the standard deviation is always 5 to 8 FPS, which is excellent. AND that first shot drop in FPS...
