If you want to taxidermy a squirrel, where is the best place to shoot him. I normally do head shots, but don't know that is the best place.

I tried it all. finally just moved on.

I couldn't get my plenum to seal up at all so i just took it off and skipped it.

I've done really well with Vector scopes and have been using them for years. Mine are Taurus and Paragon. Recently I got a Veyron. It's ok, but I didn't think it was as clear.

What are your thoughts on that caldwell vice? i've looked at them. actually a little surprised they aren't cheaper.

Jace, 2 guns that have really caught my eye are the fx maverick, and the brocock sahara. the sahara looks pretty affordable although I like the chassis style guns better. being new to the forum I can't answer classifieds yet.

I That's really a good question. My itch may actually be to just have a brocock or FX. light animal control or plinking. I've got some nice guns, but no great guns and the shortcomings are generally the trigger. I'm a huge rimfire shooter and so trigger really matters as I usually modify...

I prefer 4x16. higher magnification scopes seem like overkill for the shooting I do. Must haves for me are adjustable objective, 30mm tube, illuminated reticle, and close focus.

In looking on Athlon's site and Optics planet it looks like I can't get the illuminated reticle on one of the 4x20 models. Is that right?

mine is completely stock. i've read stories of people opening up their gun cases to find that the guage had blown apart. when I ordered my replacement guage from airgun depot the guy told me that he had 1 customer a week ordering replacements for airforce guns because of this.
