    Air hose inanity

Recently ponied up for a couple GX bent-neck whips because they annoy me the least out of the vast hoard that comes w buying the stuff you need for the obsession. It does not take long. I've also received a few whips from Alteros that work very well too. Not sure if they're anything special...

    So Damn Hot!!

Areas of the Corn Belt are probably a bigger hell than much of the SE now that Ive thought on it. They get a combination of extremes plus tornadoes. It's not called flyover country for no reason.

    So Damn Hot!!

That's Africa hot ...but at least dry heat. LOL? I speant two summers in SC during two back to back drought / heat records w many wet bulb 4s. Hotlanta too in the 90's. It was way too much for pasty-white me. W things going the way they have been those records have definately been broken. The...

Best weight and shape to use offhand?

Taipan Vet Short is my go-to for shooting unsupported The LOP is a bit short for me, but the gun is very balanced and tuckable.

    Take your time guys.....

My neighborhood is over run w deer & turkeys. I saw this guy casually chilling out on my walk into work. He didn't seem too stressed about life.

    Quietest, and most accurate

As others have stated, you really can't go wrong a Marauder as a first PCP. Inexpensive and reliable. If sound is an issue it can be suppressed. FWIW I have springers too. There is far less paraphernalia w springers so subsequently it's less expensive and simpler if that's what you're after...

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

keeping it to a quiver of one = famous last words TBH I'm probably going to pivot to more RF shooting this year myself. Less gear means fewer headaches.

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

That would be a big nah from me too. They are the most unused accessory in the world of PCP shooting. Call me lame but I'd rather shoot my springers or Sheridans if it came down to having to hand pump FWIW, I have a Hill Evo 350 that's awesome for direct fill a CX CS4 for lazy filling of big...

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

Having an unused hand pump is a rite of initiation into PCP ownership. I keep threatening to use mine just so the abs can get a workout (it never happens) Probably 3/4 of the forum members are also NIB hand pump owners.

    Benjamin benjamin marauder

It'll be money well spent and you won't have any regrets. Also since you asked about it, .25 is a fine caliber. Ample selection of relatively affordable ammunition to select from and performance is fine. Any differences between .22 and .25 is minutiae to be debated upon by air gun nerds...

    Benjamin benjamin marauder

It seems to be shooting just fine but is definatly loud in comparison to my Kratos. I've been shooting guns w integral moderation more often than not, so my ears may be too sensitive as well. Probably on par w the AF Condor tha I shoot

    Benjamin benjamin marauder

It's a great affordable gun that will be a keeper even if you move on to more expensive things. They're all over the classifieds and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one from Airgun Revisions. I just busted mine out in a very long time (.25) I can't believe how loud this thing is.

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

A small HPC will proabably do just fine for direct filling most guns but by the time you spend on a cheap compressor I'd suggest spending just a bit more and getting something a little more reputable for reliability... like the CX CS4. You won't regret it, especially if you do immerse yourself...
