    Raccoon Pellet Choice/Tune (vs plinking)

They're excellent at both. H&N also has Hornets in .25 that are similar to Metamags.

    Raccoon Pellet Choice/Tune (vs plinking)

I'd try the Predator Polylmags, they're accurate and deadly, too bad they don't make the Metamags in .25 because those are even better.

Vevor now makes a dual cylinder shoebox compressor! (Video inside)

I've the single cylinder shoebox with auto off, every half-hour of use I feed it a bit of silicone gel lube through the intake and on the shaft, it's still going after dying last year, but then I jerry rigged it to work again, which I discussed elsewhere here somewhere.

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

Is that the old style with kevlar inserts or the new Avalanche with the plastic inserts? With the felt, my Avalanche now performs very well. The only thing left scientifically is to test the airguns unmodded vs. the Avalanche, which I can't do outside of the range because of noise.

Got mine at Walmart in the craft supply area at .32 a sheet, I got a few sheets but it took only one sheet for the task.

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

I wrapped the inserts in felt a certain way, as 12" strips the width of the oblong holes and secured with a single large diameter o-ring on each wrap, so that's two per insert. The Sig runs as best as can be expected I think, while the Avenger is super quiet and super accurate, with no effect on...

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

Yong Heng calls for hydraulic oil in a manual, but I never said anything about hydraulic oil, I'd go with a compressor oil, which isn't the same thing. As for a specific compressor oil, I did mention Amsoil compressor oil, which would be an excellent choice to run in any HP compressor IMO...

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

Just to be clear, what I said about 2" groups was about the Sig. Now as for the Avenger, compared to what you've shown, it's not bad for someone wearing a blindfold, because that's what it looks like to me. So maybe the low shots were because you opened your eyes? 😉

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

No, I'm not being too vague, I've said here repeatedly that ISO 46 is the correct oil type, because that's in fact the correct type. And nowhere does Yong Heng say that detergent motor oil is the correct oil, nor do they specify Seco 500. There's nothing vague in any of that.

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

You appear to say that ISO 46 is a brand of oil? No, ISO 46 refers to the global engineering standard for oil quality recommended by ALL air compressor manufacturers, including Yong Heng.

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

Detergent motor oil is inappropriate for any air compressor system. That's why you keep having to replace pistons. You need to run an ISO 46 approved compressor oil, that's not me saying that, that's every air compressor manufacturer in the world saying that, including Yong Heng.

Well then, Annie Oakley, what would you call putting 30 rounds into a hole 2" across? Please deign to tell us. That is if you're not too busy stacking pellets and giving buzz cuts to mosquitos. 😉

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

Thanks to Robert for the felt suggestion, which has led to significant improvements, which I also discuss in the second edit of my initial post. It seems the felt allows for a gradual cushioning of the Sig's airflow through the cans, whereas before it was just so much turbulence. The Sig has...

Oil recommendations for Yong Heng compressor

Amsoil makes an excellent compressor oil at a fairly reasonable price of about $20 a quart, available in many stores or online, no detergent, high pressure lubes added, and a flashpoint over 500 degrees. It meets the ISO 46 standard advised for high pressure compressors.

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

BigHUN, I see the bottle of Super Lube o-ring goo there, good stuff, I shoot it into the piston housing of my Vevor box every half-hour of run time, it's kept it from dying I think. I use a syringe with a large bore needle with the sharp ground off. But you missed the point of my previous...

    Yong Heng after piston replacement

I don't think that's a good oil as it's a detergent oil, while compressors need no detergent and run best without it. Maybe that's why you're replacing pistons? And you should never use automotive motor oil in a high pressure compressor, it can cause an explosion.

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

I think the Sig is a blast cannon, an airsoft gun that shoots pellets, the loudest thing about it is the action, I think the belt runs part mechanical (the initial trigger pull is very heavy) and part blowback (the trigger lightens up in rapid fire). As for the Avenger, it's at 1500 PSI with...
