In my mind the Lubbers can jump a tall building in a single bound and are faster than a speeding bullet. But Wikipedia, so it must be true, state the Lubbers are lazy, slow, clumsy and can't jump very far. I like my "six foot jump" story better.
Got 7 yesterday and 2 this morning with my FWB 300s Mini. The Diana Chaser pistol is to arrive by 7 this evening. The pistol should be less threatening appearing to the neighbors than the springer rifles. Buck Rail suppressor yesterday and Carm mag on the way. Lubbers beware
Ugly beastie! Mine are the ones in the video. I live in St Pete Florida and they are plentiful here. Nailed one with my FWB 300s Mini this afternoon. I had planned on doing a shoulder mount and hang it in the living room. I'm sure my wife would be greatly impressed. But my aim was off a bit and...
2 minutes ago New Add bookmark #17 BTW here is a good AGN link to the subject. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/co2-softair-pistols.1289249/ Some deceased mice so I guess the Lubbers would be toast as well :devilish: To digress. I use to race bikes and often trained with my training...
Those are the critters. But these are not full grown adults yet. Probably teenagers. Fully grow they are very large and colored yellow, red and black. A lot more yellow then the younger ones.
Thanks Myles. I got a call into Mark at PA to discuss. I've got plans on another air rifle (HW95)and don't want to "waste" money on something not effective on brother Lubber. And I have to keep She Who Must be Obeyed happy.Firewalker and Wogie-get a life. You saw the title to the thread so why...
I live in Florida and each spring/summer there is a lubber invasion. These are large grasshoppers that eat our garden and when full grown they are poisonous. And poison doesn't kill them when full grown. Nothing eats them except one species of birds that kill them, hang them up to dry in the...
I think this question is within the framework of the OP. I'm just getting back into ARs after a very long layoff. For shooting paper off a bench at known distance of 50 yards with wind 5-10 mph, and 10-15 mph is the slower, heavier .22 better to deal with winddrift than the faster, lighter...
Thanks for the comments. It seemed to me the .22 is a better choice for a fixed 50 yard distance which is what I was thinking but wanted some input from folks with experience. shambozzie what program are you using?
This is the .117 vs .22 question frequently asked. But I am only interested in the distinction for shooting a springer (15-17 fpe) at a known distance of 50 yards with wind generally around 10 mph with reasonable wind shelter. I don't hunt or shoot FT competition. So the the "mortar"...
LOL- darn I thought that was $$$$$$$$$$$$ Well at least I know pellets didn't increase by an astronomical order. On the other hand I had better slink back into the Bat Cave. :geek:
Of course everything has gone up. 9mm bulk range grade ammo was .15 cents to .18/.19 cents but usually .15-.17 for descent ammo. I could buy Wolf/SK for .10-.12 cents. These have gone up to .15-.20 cents. But the pellets have gone out of sight. The firearm ammo has to much more expensive to...
