Before I had the BB gun, I had a "pop gun", one of those rifles that had a pin through the barrel a short distance in from the muzzle so you couldn't put anything big down the barrel, but you could shoot the cork that came with it if you cut the string. We found out that we could shove the...
I'm going to say that $500 is the point where increased buyer resistance begins. The Avenge-X is priced at that price point, so I think a buyer expects more from an airgun in fit and finish in that range and above than they would at a lesser price. I know the old adage of there being two types...
These are the words that put the chill on an Avenge-X for me. What does it say about a manufacturer's QC when you get 2 duds in a row? What are the odds of that happening at random? You would think that, after the first one, the seller would bend over backwards to make sure the next one they...
This thread caused me to re-think my Avenge-X purchase and I bought a Notos instead at half the price. Just sayin' that manufacturer responsiveness or lack thereof has a consequence.
I agree completely...but I'm just now entering the PCP rabbit hole and the only thing I have to keep filled is a Notos. Between the CS2 and the airgun I'm in for a shade over $500. The CS2 is adequate for my immediate needs. I know I've seen that picture in my travels recently. I can design and...
...and I happened to notice this picture of the installation of the black inline filter. I noticed that the filter is installed before the gauge block, not after, and virtually all of the installs I've seen have the filter after the block. This seems to suggest that this is the preferred way...
I was probably 12 or so, had a Daisy Model 25 pump action BB gun and noticed that some of the little green night-blooming jasmine flower buds were just about the size of a BB, so I loaded one up and fired it. They made a nice splat so I loaded another one up and shot one of my buddies with it. I...
I made a pellet trap v1.0 out of things I have on hand...an empty kitty litter bucket and lid filled with wadded up drapery material samples. The drapery material is so heavy the .177 pellets don't penetrate.
That is beauty in simplicity!!! What are you using for a back stop? It looks like paper or magazines, but the covering has me confused. I have a 3ft hallway by about 45ft overall. At what distance are you shooting, 10m? Keeping this OT, I'm making plans for my indoor range and I received...
I'm trying to come up with ideas for my indoor range...I'd like to see more pictures of your setup if you have them. But back on topic...I disassembled my Benjamin 132 and ordered a seal kit from Baker.
This is the strangest thread I think I have ever seen! But it is truly a pleasure to see pictures of the imaginative shooting tubes that some of you have built...wow! I'm envious. More pictures, please!
I'm a new guy, too! And a tinkerer, and I like to watch my fellow tinkerers do what they do best...tinker! Welcome, Uwik! EDIT: You should know that tinkerers are also good enablers...less than 24hrs. after my first post, I bought a P17 pistol.
My main concern about shooting through the sliding glass door is the flies! If I let any flies in the house, there is going to be he!! to pay with the wife. I can probably get close to 10m shooting down the hallway.
