Took the HW77 out today. Had a good hit rate on the 1 1/8” squirrel popper at 30m. Approximately 60% whilst standing. Then a black bird presented itself, and I couldn’t resist. First blood! This HW77 is no longer a virgin. Here’s to many more pests to come.

What do we consider to be a good group from a standing position? This from the other day with my HW77 at 20m.

Shot with my PRod, .22 JSB RS at 25 yards standing. Interesting results. This combo is capable of 2.5 MOA on a bench. Groups go 12x -> 8x -> 4x

Today was pellet testing and a new zero for the new-to-me diopter. I like it when a rifle tells me what pellets it likes. This one was very clear cut.

I’ve had a pretty poor experience with the Diana offerings. For just a small amount more money, the HW is a much much better fit and finished gun. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Went out again today. Tried the .22 JSB RS out. Better scenery for photos, at least. I feel very confident on a squirrel or hare out to 30m. Planning to start pushing back to 50m once the diopter comes in.
