What pistol did you shoot today

My humble little 2240 (with a few mods). This thing never fails to impress me. Took a few shots with it today. That's a 10 yard target (1" outer circles, 0.35" bullseyes) with plain old Crosman 14.3 pellets, nothing special. I'm not all that good a shot, my vision is lousy, and yet .... So I...

What pistol did you shoot today

Spent some time with the MP40 today. Both semi and full auto. I added some lead weight to the bolt (opened it up and poured in some lead bb’s) to slow the rate of fire. NOW it sounds a lot more realistic. Great fun. Gotta watch it though, it’s real easy to chew through my entire stock of ammo 😳

    Other Airgun for Squirrel?

Ordinary 12g co2 cartridges, A stock 2240 has a shorter barrel. This one has a 10” LW barrel.. I’ve heard that the muzzle velocity will increase as the barrel length increases, up to around 14”. The 2240, like the 1377 or 1322, has heaps of options available.

    Other Airgun for Squirrel?

Maybe something like this. A Crosman 2240 with an extended barrel. Very accurate, .22cal, over 450fps with 14.3gr pellets

    Other Airgun for Squirrel?

    How about the Crosman 2250XL?

    Other Airgun for Squirrel?

And the 1322 has heaps of options available … shoulder stock, longer barrel, etc. One of the most versatile platforms out there

    Other Airgun for Squirrel?

I get crows and raccoons raiding the garden from time to time. Don’t see the need to kill them, just discourage them. My weapon of choice is a co2 BB gun (of which I have a few) and plastic bb’s. Seems to do the job and I don’t end up with bodies to bury. Besides … it’s more fun than paper...

And THAT’s the Luger I’d like to see made as a pellet gun!

Looks like a B-29 behind that Blackbird. This must be a Huge building!

What pistol did you shoot today

Agreed! The Germans made some beautiful gear but it was a bit too sensitive to dirt, sand, grime, etc. And expensive to make. Ahh, but so much fun to shoot 🙂 I must admit that while I slather mine in lube for general plinking, I will wipe it down to minimum lube if I take it out into the...

What pistol did you shoot today

Nope, haven’t seen any butt stocks for it but it appears to have the notches to accept one. Maybe one from a real P08 might fit? Wish someone made the artillery or naval version of this. Then again, maybe I could get another one and make a longer barrel, and, and, …. 🤔

What pistol did you shoot today

Back to the KWC P08 today. Like the real thing, this has heaps of moving parts so I drown it in grease and oil. Initially the accuracy was a bit disappointing but after switching to Barra Zinc Plated BBs I'm seeing 1" groups at 10 yards with a fresh cartridge. Much better now. All these Lugers...

What pistol did you shoot today

HW45 is an awesome gun! It kicks a bit and is grip-sensitive, but that’s one of the things I like about it …. good training for my PB’s.

What pistol did you shoot today

After putting this little Colt through it's paces and running a bunch of ammo through it, I have to say I'm pleased. Getting over 80 shots per cylinder, 350fps with steel BBs, and 500fps with the AGS plastics. Not too shabby. At 10 yards the plastic BBs group better than the steel, perhaps...

I never heard of this. Pretty cool. Something for me to research a bit

    Other Revolver carbine?

Exactly. Taylor Firearms sells the 1858 with a longer barrel and a rifle stock … Remington Revolver Carbine. However it’s a PB not an airgun, and comes as black powder unless you get the optional conversion cylinder. If only someone made such a thing as an airgun. It’s a real beauty.

    Other Revolver carbine?

Those of you who have seen an 1858(?) Remington revolver carbine might be wondering … Why has no such thing been made as a pellet gun? I’ve often wondered that. I have an Umarex Colt and Barra Schofield, both of which use shells with pellets. I believe someone also makes an 1858 Remington...

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

I’m still waiting for an all-metal, hardwood stock, semiautomatic, shell ejecting, pellet firing M1A with a rifled barrel. No plastic, thank you. There are already shells made that house pellets (Barra Schofield, Umarex Colt) so it seems that a semiautomatic shell ejecting rifle would be an...

Recommend me pistol options for a vintage collection

Baikal Makarov MP-654K, .177. All steel construction except the plastic grips. Suppose to be a BB gun but has a rifled barrel. I never shot BBs through it, but loaded pellets right into the breech … so, single-shot it. Very accurate with pellets. Schimel, .22. Surprisingly accurate and almost...
