Congratulations! That’s a sweet setup! Let us know how it shoots. It’s fine to dry-fire PCPs if it has air in it. I think it may damage some PCPs to dry-fire when completely empty but I’m not positive about that.

A lot of places it’s illegal to shoot an airgun inside city limits. So that would be the biggest factor to consider. If it’s legal to shoot then I’d try to be respectful of my neighbors and not shoot anything without a moderator.

I’m shooting a .25 cal 25.4 grain FX pellet at 870 FPS. 25 cal is the way to go for a pure squirrel hunting rifle in my opinion. They are tough critters.
