Hammer springs are usually fairly consistant, so I would think the hammer may be binding a bit in the tube. Shoot it for awhile first, but I would take it down and clean and lube the hammer and spring if it doesn't get better.

Depends on your state and city. Here we can shoot on our land with no limit on the size of property as long as no projectile can escape. Some cities have their own added restrictions.

You will not find enough of a group in the US that wants to make the sport more difficult. Remember when the hunter class shooters didn't think it was fair to be limited to a 12x scope?

Another vote for an HW30 or R7. They are just fun and easy to shoot. Forget the threads about mastering the artillery hold, this is not a magnum. From 10 to 20 yards they will stack 7.3 grain JSB pellets for the rest of your life. And your kids' lives.

They are different animals. The HW30 is a fun all day plinker. I consider the HW50 more of a lightweight hunter. It is nicely balanced to carry and shoot, but fairly heavy to cock for its power level. If ease of cocking (at 11-12 ft lbs of energy) is a priority, then an HW35 or a detuned...
