    Scope cap cover pops off

Crazy experience tonight... Gamo Swarm Magnum 10x Gen3i with a UTG 3-9x32 BugBuster scope. I shot about 30 pellets and the back scope cap cover popped off... landed right in my lap! I slipped it back on and another 25 pellets and it popped off again! I'm guessing I'm going to need to secure...

Gamo Muzzle velocity for a Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i shooting H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr pellets?

I get some of the objections to the question, but my #1 concern is I don't want to wound the pesky squirrels in the yard... I want to kill 'em. Having some idea what the fpe this rifle generates is worth knowing so that I know I'm humanely dispatching these rodents. I get that accuracy is the...

Gamo Muzzle velocity for a Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i shooting H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr pellets?

OK... so does anyone know what ammo Gamo uses to attain their claimed 1300 fps muzzle velocity? I'm just curious...

H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains

Understand on the pellet brand; I had to start somewhere, and the H&N Baracuda's seemed to be a good place to start, and I opted for heavier rather than lighter pellets. Thanks for the recommendation on the 18's; I'll probably give them a shot after I'm confident with the new rifle.

Thanks, @Ezana4CE , that's what I was searching for, but had not been able to find. Thank you!!

How much chronograph do I need?

What I'm reading here and there in the forums, I'd hope to get a competent chronograph well under $100... hoping that it can be accomplished for less than $50. I know I can spend $100 - $200 or more, but I've been shooting for 50+ years and have never felt the need for a chronograph.

H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains

The variable for me at this moment is unfamiliarity with the rifle; I'm a competent shooter with a traditional firearm. This is why I'm asking questions... my focus is accuracy; at the moment, I need to get through this first tin of pellets as I start dialing in the new scope. Thanks all...

H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains

I doubt it at this point (at least with me as the shooter); I'm trying to determine the effective range of the rifle. My back yard is probably 50 yards max anyway, which would put an effective hunting range under that; most of the game will be under 20 yards. Putting a decent scope on it...

Gamo Muzzle velocity for a Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i shooting H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr pellets?

Trying to gather some metrics that most likely already exist. I know what Gamo advertises for their muzzle velocity for their Swarm Magnum 3i, but I'm shooting a much heavier pellet than the "fastest". Does anyone have chrono data on this rifle shooting the H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr pellets?

How much chronograph do I need?

I'd like to get a reasonable chronograph so I can get actual measurements for my muzzle velocity, but I'm not keen on spending lots of $$. Can anyone recommend a minimal chronograph that will yield reliable results without breaking the bank?

H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains

I expect the grouping to get much better with time, practice, and the better scope; I agree... a 5" group at 75 yards isn't huntable.

H&N Baracuda Domed Airgun Pellets .22 Caliber / 21.14 Grains

Hey... bought my first air rifle, a Gamo Swarm Magnum 10x Gen3i in .22 cal. Man, I really like this rifle. My primary desire is for something silent so I can snipe squirrels, rabbits, and other varmints in the subdivision without making too much noise. So, my first concern was to make sure I...

    Help choosing a scope

I finally found the correct UTG scope mount - one specifically made for compact scopes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TUSJRK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details <-- that mount works.

    Help choosing a scope

OK guys... I need your help. I bought this UTG 3-9x32 1" BugBuster scope, and I bought a UTG Accushot one-piece mount, 'cause the scope won't fit in my original Gamo scope mount. BUT... it won't fit in this UTG mount either! Can anyone recommend a scope mount made for air rifles for this...

    Help choosing a scope

I broke down and bought a UTG 3-9x32 1" BugBuster. Dismounted the Gamo scope and quickly discovered the UTG won't fit. I now have a UTG 1-piece scope mount on order. The stinker is I had a bigger scope, but the darned thing wouldn't clear the magazine assembly. Guess I'll know more tomorrow...

    Help choosing a scope

OK... so I'm going to go heretical for a moment... I have a $300 air rifle, and I want to replace the $10 scope that came with it with something that has a mil-dot reticle so that I can compensate on the fly to axe some pesky varmints. I simply don't have the need for a $1k scope for my...
