Introduction: New to air rifles again again

My two cents. I’ve had the best results with jsb vs h&n in all my rifles. I’ve also had good results with cphp in a brocok but that rifle shot anything I loaded in it. Everone will agree you just have to test a lot of pellets.

    First Cleaning

I’m with the rest of you guys clean new or used ( new to me) then when accuracy falls off.when I first got into air guns I ask Sean from aoa and he told me that they used a 50/50 mixture of simple green and water then dry patchs. I also use a patch worm and their cotton patches ( 20-20 concepts)

Element Helix 4-16×44 FFP Vs 6-24×50 FFP

I have the 6x24 ffp on my cricket tac 60 and I can not see the retical on 6 It has to be on 9 or higher before I can see it. On paper not so bad but hunting with it almost impossible for me especially when it’s a darker backgroun, like a brush pile. my problem then becomes to little field of...

Cheap PCP vs mid end springer?

My vote is for the mrod I still get a warm fuzzy feeling ever time I shoot mine and it’s by far the cheap pcp rifle that I own by far!

If you could only have 1 springer air rifle, what would you choose?

I would keep my hw50 it’s just a sweet little rifle.

    Is it worth buying a hw97k if i already have a hw77k?

I have a hw50 hunter 177 and a rws52 177 which was my first real air rifle. I’ve shot the rws a little more over the years I’ve hunted with both. The rws is a 16 fpe gun and the hw50 is a 12 fpe gun both of them hit where they’re pointed.I’ve started shooting pcp’s and don’t shoot the spring...

What will be your last, air rifle acquisition ?

I’m always looking at all the really cool new stuff and then I ask myself what will a new gun do that my old air wolf can’t do,so I don’t buy anything. All I do with my air guns is shoot targets and hunt Calif. ground squirrel. I’m thinking the squirrels don’t give a care so I’ll keep shootn the...

What will be your last, air rifle acquisition ?

Every time I think about getting something else i ask myself, will this new rifle do anything better than what I already have. I always have a really good time shooting targets and eliminating Calif ground squirrels. The squirrels don’t give a care what I use. My old air wolf in 22 is my go to. I...
