survivor 45, I believe that is the case. A pivot screw bottomed out in a pivot bushing. I tried both directions but not really hard, because I did not know what I was dealing with. Will try backing it out with light setting on small cordless impact. Thanks to all for all the help

thanks for reply, The barrel hinge screw has a T-25 head. Was using 1/4" ratchet wrench drive. I think tomorrow will try impact driver.
