Airforce Condor or Benjamin Marauder for accuracy?

I have to confess that I ended up not buying an air gun. I bought a suppressor and half a case of subsonic ammo for a 22 rifle. It's accurate, quite, and drops both crows and coyotes. Buy the time I narrowed down my air rifle choice it was just too expensive to gear up and maintain compared to...

    Making the purchase

It just seems odd I can get a PCP from Amazon $100 cheaper than from the folks who make it.

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Because; tried one, didn't like it on several levels.

    Making the purchase

Some of the Benjamin models and other manufacturers have their guns listed on Amazon, sometimes at almost $100 less. Are these still the same guns, or did the counterfeit market get into Amazon like it does on Ebay and Leupold Scopes?

Really wish I had a neighbor or two who was onto air guns, but no such luck. Around here, it's more like the AR15 crowd...

Airforce Condor or Benjamin Marauder for accuracy?

Obviously I have a lot to learn regarding air rifles. I'm bringing along 50 years of center fire rifle experience that does not match air rifle applications. My go to big game rifle is my 270 and a 129gr Barns bullet at 3150fps. Come calving season, that same gun has a 85gr fragmenting Barnes...

    Home builds?

Do air gunners get into building their own like the centerfire rifle folks do? If so what's the most popular action that's being worked with?

Airforce Condor or Benjamin Marauder for accuracy?

After a LOT OF QUESTIONS I've decided to spend more than I estimated (first time right?) and have whittled my choices down between the Airforce Condor and Benjamin Marauder, both in .22; but dang that .25 hits hard.... For those in the know, which one tends to be the most accurate out of the...

    Making the purchase

When it comes time to buy an air rifle do you like to purchase directly from the manufacturer, on line for the cheapest price, or from a specialty air gun shop?

How long can a PCP be charged?

How long can you leave a PCP Rifle charged? Can it live behind the door for a couple of weeks between shots, or does it need to be depressurized after a shooting session? Thanks in advance, Gos

Are 5 shot groups worthless statistically?

I'll venture to say for hunting, where the first cold barrel round goes is more important than the other 4 rounds after it.

    Twist Rates

Greetings, What twist rates are necessary to stabilize the new and longer 22 slugs that are showing up on the market? Thanks in advance, Gos

Last three questions: 1. What manual or electric pump would you choose, and yes price is important. 2. Who would you buy your next PCP rifle from? Lowest price listed on line, or a specific shop? 3. Can you run a PCP off of 6,000 psi nitrogen cylinders rather than pumps?

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Arthritis, or a torn shoulder socket come to mind. From all the great suggestions offered here, it's looking like I really need to go back to exploring PCP Rifles in order to get what I'm after. Have a smooth 4th!

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Regarding the 48, does it need to be shot with the artillery hold, or will it shoot for us guys that hold on tight?

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Ok, so after reading about "artillery hold" I'm thinking I should stay away from springers altogether. I pull in a gun tight. Trying to relearn how to hold a gun after 50+ years of center fire shooting just ain't gonna cut it. So, at least I'm down to pumpers. The selection process continues...

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Thanks everyone. Lots of reading to do on the models suggested here. You got me on the artillery hold. Never heard of it. My shooting was off the cement bench on my range. I'll have to look that term up. I ran three different pellets through it including one all copper. I've become a fan of...

Is a 50 yard air gun realistic, or should I stick with 22 sub sonics?
