Gregor Kamensek, the name of the YouTuber who originally made a DIY Huben pistol from a K1, I’m not sure what the K in K1 originally meant. Here’s his channel: https://youtube.com/@gregorkamensek3923?si=ByO7yXslnWzFtRvR

I get valve dumps somewhere between 100 and 110 bar with pellets/slugs (I think it occurs at higher levels when dry firing). Mine is tuned to a max of 69 ft-ibs. Make sure you are careful to not let it valve dump when using suppressors of weaker design, they may explode.

I believe NSA will make slugs to desired specs, I haven’t tried yet, but I believe if asked they would make .253 slugs of a desired weight and length. I’ve used their .254 38.5 gr slugs, and those actually feel too tight, and I did experience one jam which required disassembly to clear. I’ve...

Great minds think alike, look’s exactly like what I was thinking. 🙂

Alright, I think these are ready to go now! 🙂 I still need to do a large test of all of the suppressors I have on hand right now and add that data to the webpage tomorrow, but other than that I think I'm ready to start cranking these out. 😃 Pricing for now will be between $45.49 and $67.99 plus...

@subscriber I got a 6.6dB (average) reduction with the original 5” version of your moderator shooting at somewhere between probably 50-55 ft-ibs. 104.5dB > 97.9dB with 33.95 gr pellets. I’m guessing those who are getting much better results are running at lower power levels. Thanks for...

What is that made out of, ABS? I wouldn’t be surprised if they do a version three eventually, not sure what his name is (the STO guy), but he strikes me as a tinkerer that will never stop based on reading through some of his blogs. 😉

Nice! BTW, beautiful grain on your grips. 😍

For holsters, I think the best option is for someone in the community with a good communication line with Huben to ask if they can share a 3D model of the pistol (just the completed pistol itself) or for someone to send theirs off to someone (a holster maker possibly) with a 3D scanner that they...

Yes, there is some wiggle within the tolerance between the pin and the slot it goes in at the back until you tighten it down all the way. If you’re doing this regularly you will probably see a POI shift from the variance of the front sight post. It’s probably not much though.

Have you tried rotating the model by 180 degrees? The orientation of the original file is not in the proper orientation for printing unless you rotate it 180 degrees, which I did when enlarging the threads. Apologies if you did, this is just the most obvious reason that I can think of for why it...

It looks to me like the hill of the curve is at 260 bar, I’m guessing that lowering the power will round out the curve and the peak will be at 260, at least with a 38.5 gr projectile.

Here’s a shot string I took note of after I finally got the chrony to reliably read my shots. This is from roughly 330 bar (filled direct from my Yong Heng) down to like 160 bar. The Yong Heng burst discs seem to blow at around 340 for me, thus the reason I’m only filling to 330. Do the same at...

900 FPS with 38.5 gr .254 NSA slugs (69.26 ft-ibs), I haven't chronied any of the others yet with this tune, however none of them sound like they are breaking the sound barrier, even the 25.4 grainers.

With JSB .25 33.95 gr pellets. It also happens when dry firing, but that only takes one shot to empty the reservoir it seems. In this case, it's dumping a larger amount of air than it should for 2-3 shots (when using pellets) since there is still some back pressure from the pellet to help reseal...

There we go, that’s better! It still failed, but not nearly as explosively and it might be fixed by simply offsetting the voids in the infill pattern. The problem causing it to be so weak was the infill not attaching firmly to the walls when using Prusa Slicer (which I’m not as familiar with)...

Just a friendly heads up to be very careful NOT to let the reservoir pressure get too low (below 150 bar) when using a 3D printed suppressor or other weaker types of materials. I blew up two in a row because of the GK1 attempting to dump all of the air when the reservoir pressure got too low...

That’s on my to do list, I need to get the offset suppressors out first though. The current plan is for them to be made of nylon (PA12) and be MJF 3D printed (the plates/adapters). I’ve already got a general idea on the design, just am not there yet. Who knows, maybe someone will beat me to it...

For any wondering about terminal performance (unscientific), here’s a .25 Hades vs a Zucchini at somewhere between 40 and 60 ft-ibs. I haven’t chronied these yet.

For me the Sumo takes it from 100.3 (with Ares adapter and cap on, 98.5 with cap off) to 91.83 for a 8.47dB reduction. I can verify I am also getting a POI shift to the low right with mine also @bernieorosz .
