    N/A True slug gun

While you can achieve really good and even excellent results with some of today's precision air guns, I feel as though the slug came before the slug gun and that we are still awaiting its arrival. Perhaps there is so much money to be made trying to find the right slug, barrel, regulator...

    Range finders

I was in Cabellas last week and decided to stop in at the optics counter and check out some range finders. I only looked at 4 brands but did test out all the models under $700. My favorites are as follows: Vortex Razor HD 4000. It was the least sharp of the 4 and seemed to have the widest...

    1rst crow of the season!

Crow season is here and I was fortunate enough to have a shot a some yesterday. First off though, I can't say enough good about the Hades .22 pellets. Out of my Wildcat 500mm they are happiest somewhere between 915-935 fps. The 18 and 24 grainers are solid performers but the Hades just takes...

    HW95 .22 Goodness

Just put on a new scope a spent some time to re-zero. It's nice when your hunting springer, HW95 .22, likes multiple pellets. It also shoots the Crossman hollow points a little better than the 18.13 JSB'S. As you can see I shot a very damaged Hades with not so good results. I shot the 18.13's...

    First time at 274 yards!

Was visiting with my brother today and decided to try my luck at an 8" steel plate that sits at 274 yards from the deck. Impact M3 .22, 28 grain, .217 ZAN slugs at 1028 fps. With the 800mm 14 twist liner without the tensioner on it and an Element Titan 5-25X56 moa scope. Zeroed at 50 yards I...

    Range finder for flat ground

Which range finder have you found to work best on flat ground/grass? This is mainly for pest birds. I have a Sig Kilo 2000 but fund that anything much over 50 yards is close but very difficult to range properly. Thx. FYI I really like it for all other scenarios.

    Cricket ll Tactical 60 .22

This is new to me and is fastly becoming my go to for pest birds out to 88 yards and garden raiding groundhogs out to about 50 yards. When I received it I had what i thought was very light hammer strikes. My highest fps with any pellet was with the hammer spring adjuster turned 4 turns out...

Why did I wait so long...?

Ever since I bought my .22 Impact M3 with the 800mm slug liner and tensioner kit I have struggled to be consistant with it. The only real exception was with the JSB Beasts. MOA at 50 yards and .700"-.800" ish at 88 yards. Pushing them at 990-995fps. They are my goto for groundhog and...

    Help with this shot string

This from my Cicket 2 Tactical 60 .22 shooting 14.3 grain CPHP. The first string states at 198 bar and the last string ended at 80 bar. The string before these started at 245 bar down to 198 bar with a high of 849 to 877 with most shots between 854 to 862. No real idea of how many shots. With...
