    BTW I downloaded a file converter, converted the .MOV file to.AVI, it opened and played fine in X9 but I shouldn't have to do this

    you are right, 30-240, if I open the file with "windows moviemaker live" or "windows media player" the audio is there I'm stumped

    trying get this going...I have, the Casio 1100 and a JC Everio and Corel X9 when I film video with the JVC and import the .MTS file into X9 the audio is there when I film video with the Casio and import the .MOV file into X9 there is no audio any help here would be appreciated
