I wonder if anybody has found one or the other to be more efficient for the power and or accuracy of an air rifle? Anybody test this? :-)

Can anybody tell me how many foot pounds of energy my Diana 48 chambered in .177 has out of the box? I did a search that came up empty. :unsure:

The big question. At what range do most of you zero your higher end springers (mine is a Diana 48) and is there a written hold over chart for different distances out to say 50 or even 100 yards with a 7ish grain pellet? I haven't tested it yet but I would guess it's in the 900 fps range from...

Where do you get them? How much do you pay for them? How do you like them?

I bought a Crosman 1377 a number of years back then added the Crosman rifle stock. It's an accurate little bugger. I pumped 3 times for each of these shots at roughly 5 yards if I recall correctly. The muzzle is pointing at the 3 landed shots.

I have two air rifles both .177. One is a Diana 48 and the other a Gamo Varmint. I have been shooting Daisy Flat nosed out of both with no troubles. A couple days ago I tried Piranha 10.5 grain pellets in the Gamo and they were extremely tight to the point that thumbnail pressure to seat them...

This one is cheap and cheerful with good ratings. What say the good folk here? I'm looking for a good knockabout gun. Gamo Varmint
