special thanks to Kip and the Gang

Recently purchased a Bush Buck with walnut stock from AOA. Had a few initial issues with the gun. Returned it to Kip who fixed the issues and then proceeded to test the shiznits out of the gun to make sure it was right this time. Kip did all this testing, on his own time. Can't say how...

    Found a hens tooth.

Managed to purchase this Donny FL Emperor for my new Bushbuck. Looking forward to seeing,(hearing), how it works on the .45. I have to use hearing protection while shooting it as is. It will have to wait for now. The stock pictured is all that remains of the Bushbuck. The actions has been...

GO ARMY, trying out my birtday present.

Just had a birthday last month. Wife and kids got these for me. If you are considering a purchase, I highly recommend. Solid, tough and make a nice sound when you wack them at 60 yards with a .22 PCP! Here's Crystal giving them a workout. She is already talking about buying another set...

    Hanging some steel

Spent some time yesterday hanging some steel targets. I know some are heavy, but I am preparing to order a new Big Bore to make these puppies ring. My .22 cals will swing the smaller ones. I am really looking forward to making those big faces swing. Stop by anytime and make some music. Doc

    New shooter in the house!

Just wanted to share. My wife, Crystal, has fallen in love with my new to me Sniper XR .22 caliber. I recently purchased this rifle from the classifieds. Crystal liked it as soon as I unboxed and unwrapped it. BTW, thanks to the PO for doing a first rate job of packaging. I mounted an extra...

    Brocock or Daystate for contact?

I have been trying to email Brocock for about 10 days now. No response. I wonder if I should contact Daystate instead? I am just wanting to verify the date of manufacture on a rifle I recently purchased from the classifieds. I am not sure it is as new as advertised, Ideas? Doc

unusual pests in the yard today.

These two rather large pests showed up today while I was setting up my 100 yard targets. These two are wild and roam the area looking for grass and such to munch down on and of course, leaving land mines for the mower to find.

    co2 cartridge heat tolerance

I have somewhat limited experience with co2 cartridges. I had a few pistols back in the 1970's. I have recently purchased 3 of the Umarex P2P pepper ball handguns. They are surprisingly accurate. Reliability up to now has been excellent as well. I have fired over 1k rubber balls through one...

Let's hear your squirrel stories !!

Squirrel season just closed for us here in Arkansas. Since I cannot hunt them, how about some interesting stories. The amazing long shots, the big harvest, the one(s) that got away, and the rest. I will begin. 2 weeks ago my son was home on leave for a few weeks from deployment. He was...

pellets and slugs. Dazed and confused.

Folks. I am still new to this whole pcp thing. I have some newbie type questions. 1. I see where folks change barrels and stuff to shoot slugs. Is that necessary just to switch to slugs? Would I be ok shooting slugs in my new Huntsman Revere? 2. Hollow point pellets. I tried some H&N...

Not happy. Dive shop refused to fill my tank today.

Just needed to vent a little. Ha, Ha. Dive shop, one of only two here, refused to fill my tank because they did not have the right fitting to attach to the tank, He said if I wanted to purchase it, he would use it to fill the tank. But since I am apparently the first person ever to want a SCBA...

    We are expecting.....

Not what you think. My new Yong Heng compressor should be arriving in a few hours. All things being equal, and if the Amazon driver can make it up our driveway. Still have a lot of ice out there. The Road grader just passed by and you cannot tell it was there. Not good. Enough prattle. My...

Is it enough air for the new huntsman? Newbie question

There are only 2 dive shops within 50 miles of me. Both say the max air they can put in my 4500 psi tank is 3200 psi. That is on a good day. Sometimes it is only 3000 psi. Question, my gun holds 3626 psi but the regulator is set at 2175.6 psi., I know I will have to refill the weapon more...

    new tank question

I just received a new 75 cu tank with my new daystate huntsman. I am sure it was for shipping purposes, but, The top valve was loose. Should I tighten it before I take it to the dive shop or should I let them do it? Is there any special way to get it tight enough? Thanks Doc

    The Bristish are....here

Well, she finally arrived. Unfortunately she arrived the same day as a 10 year snowstorm dumping 15 inches overnight. So, after living for almost a week off the generator and propane backup heat, I found the time to take a few shots. Here are the pictures of Snow. I have named my rifles...

    newbie tank question regarding moisture

Hope this is not a silly question. I have read with great interest this forum regarding compressors, tanks, and moisture. My question is two fold. One, how do we know that the shop who fills our tanks are pumping "dry" air to our tanks. What if they do not let them cool and then top off...

I didn't pull the trigger,,,,,, I jerked it all the way back!

After months of research, several straight days and evenings reading past threads I finally made my choice. My wife would walk by and see what was on the screen, then tell her Mom I was looking at "air gun stuff" again. Gotta love her. Anyway, I called AoA today and spoke with "Darrin"...

    Hello from the Ozark Mountains.

Hello all. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I have used air guns, mostly springers and pump up for over 45 years. I recently decided to dip my toes into the PCP pool, or maybe just dive right in. I am a teacher at heart and currently an adjunct professor at a major southern...
