    Scope for hw 30

I actually purchased a williams from Midway. Beautiful sight, but it clamped to dove tail with only one small screw. Even with the mild recoil from the hws 30 I thought the sight would easily shift. Am I missing something??

    HW scope recommendations

Please, what model UTG have you had success with? The HW 30 has very low recoil, and it is very low powered so I don't need much magnification but do need mil dots, especially as it is in .22

    HW scope recommendations

Suggestions for a tuned hw 30 in .22 caliber? Back yard plinking to 35 yards in the intended use. I have 2 R9's that have eaten scopes, both UTG and Hawke. Since the recoil of the hw 30 is quite mild in comparison, perhaps I don't need top the line glass. I would like mil dots because of...

    Grackles are back!

I have shot grackles, starlings, etc with R9 in .177 and i also found that a broadside shot does not kill them instantly, but shot placement in the breast or back usually does. With my R9 in .22 broadside shots usually put them down immediately

    Sand bags from Ebay

I have found that filling the empty bag with spent shot shell primers works well, and they are not likely to fall out of any small holes that will probably develop over time. They do not have the weight of sand, but their weigh is enough for most applications

    inaccurate crosman 7.9

thanks for all the replies As stated earlier these used to shoot fairly well. The last 4 tins purchased at one time from Pyramyd Air present the problem. The bore has been scrubbed. My rifle shoots quarter inch or less groups with JSB or Field Target Trophy I did weight several pellets...

    inaccurate crosman 7.9

My Beeman R9 in .177 usually grouped crosman 7.9 hp into quarter inch or better groups at 30 feet indoors off rest. I have used several tins of these purchased from time to time over the past 2 years. However pellets from the last 4 tins scatter wildly producing 1.5 inch or worse in 3 shots...
