    USPS at its finest

And THAT is the only reason I don't put myself in a box, address it to my family in N.J. and send myself off. If all went well, it would be cheaper than flying these days.

Has anyone got that .177 Gauntlet.

First PCP for me and I did numerous mods guided by Hajimoto's videos. I still have it and use it often.

    Other Sad stats for springers

When I first got into air guns in the early 80's the Feinwerkbau was the springer of choice. If not mistaken, it was the gun used in the Olympics at the time. It had springs opposing each other to dampen vibration and up accuracy. It was also out of my price range. I haven't heard much about...

    PELLET RIFLE CALIBER

Remember the days that 177 was the standard and 22 was the powerhouse of pellets? It didn't seem so long ago.

    Dropped gun?

Dropped an AR-15 that landed scope first on the ground. It visibly bent the scope with no damage to the rifle. Now that I had a paper weight, there was only two things left to do. One was put the scope for sale on this site and the second was to mount it in a V block and unbend it ------...

    N/A Wiscombe

I got to shoot one at the GTA meet in Arkansas about five years ago. It was amazingly smooth, but at a cost of about $15,000 for this gun from what I was told, it is out of my league unless I sold off my entire collection of air and powder and I am not about to do that.

Bent my Alpha Wolf barrel 🥺/ UPDATED 😁

I fall in with the 3 or 4 other "poors" on this site and if I had the skill and tools to bring that barrel back as close as the OP did, it would go back on and be content in lieu of spending good pellet purchasing money on a new barrel. On the other hand, if I fell in with the rich kids, I...

Air Arms Smooth Shooting Springer ? Do They Exist ?

If you can get your hands on a Walther LGU, you will find it right up there and maybe beyond the TX200 and HW97's

What were your first experiences handling a gun?

Sometime around 12-13 I went into the woods in N.J. with a friend and his 12 gauge shotgun (Yes, it was a long time ago when N.J. was still part of America). He set up an old dinner plate and blew it apart. Then he set up another one and gave me the gun. It took about 10 minutes before...

Lit a strike anywhere match at 40 yards with my Wolverine R and again with the Red Wolf.

We don't need no steenken' Daystate or FX

I don't know if we have done this or not, but it really is manufacturing in its highest form. It is north of 30 minutes long, but an amazing watch.

Umarex Shot the Gauntlet .177 (a true airgun value) & what clip might be made to fit it?

The 177 Gauntlet was my first PCP that I pumped up by hand. Things have come a long way since then with two Daystates, a Wolverine R and a Red Wolf. One of the biggest problems with the original Gauntlets was the POI shift with just a slight bump of the barrel. There were a number of methods...

Something to consider when using modern shooting equipment that uses an app

In a letter to the CEOs of the card giants, the Republican officials said that adopting a new sales code for gun stores would harm the constitutional rights of gunowners and potentially violate consumer protection and antitrust laws. Several state lawmakers proposed legislation...

    Daystate What wolf?

I have a Red Wolf. I think most would be very hard pressed to outshoot either of these guns. Five or six years ago the Red Wolf was state of the art, now not so much, but still a contender.

Paypal No Longer Safe for Selling Airguns (Scammers Have Won)

I got two e-mails from Pay Pal asking to approve payment for items I didn't order. That was enough for me and after 20 years with them, they are no more.

What is the reason that Walther has discontinued the LGV and LGU air rifles?

I had both an LGU and a TX200. I decided one of them would go due to a variety of conditions. I sort of knew the LGU was a limited gun and the TX200 would be around for ever. I kept the LGU I am very satisfied with the LGU after extensive trigger work and a design change I made by adding a...

    Daystate Daystate Redwolf Surgery

My started leaking also so I did some tests to find it was not leaking from the barrel. Took it down and did the dirty. I have an "O" ring kit from Harbor Freight. Took the rings that matched and some others I had from other sources and replaced them as a test to see if I could stop the leak...

Why do you still shoot springers?

I can duplicate the results with my LGU and HW97 that I get with my Red Wolf and Wolverine R. It is harder to do, but on a good day, it gets done (at 40 yards). No, there is nothing wrong with the puffers. Pretty much one hole at times.

Daystate New/used Wolverine R slow leak

Mine developed a slow leak and I replaced all the "O" rings I could. Never knew which one was the bad guy because they all looked good before replacement.

If you could only have 1 springer air rifle, what would you choose?

LGU, Sold a TX200 and kept the LGU. It is not nearly as pretty, but after trigger work, it is all that I want or need when it comes to hitting the mark.
