I think the Wildcat/Maverick are best in the Compact options. The unsupported barrel length of the longer versions dont sit well with me. 😵‍💫 But the Compacts make wonderful walk-around pest controllers.

Personally I would buy the new version to help support the barrel and shroud alignment in hopes you will limit your risk of clipping. As far as exit diameter I would get the 30Cal version in case you dont get a perfect bore alignment.

I would lower your front reg pressure to about 140Bar, 165Bar is way too high. Also where is your front valve stop set at? If it is open too much it can cause some fps swings. Same with your hammer weight/preload settings. Too much hammer for a certain valve resistance will cause fps swings.

Thanks, yeah I want to try a 177. I have a 22Cal Coyote and Urban already and always felt the platform would be best in a 177. I will likely swap the wood stock for the Urban stock as I think that is better for the type of shooting I do.
