After a few hundred rounds my accuracy degrades & I can see a build up of lead on the smooth twist. So, I scrub the last few inches of the barrel with JB non-embedding bore paste from the muzzle end. Works fine.

I use both StrelokPro and ChairGun Pro. Strelok for the powder burners and ChairGun for the air rifles. Sadly, ChairGun is no longer supported by Hawke. I really like the projectile graph and overlay capabilities in ChairGun.

To me "failed" means broken and will not function. Tom - Do you mean failure as in broken and will not function? Or do you mean "failed" as in "it did not meet my expectations"?

I have a Weihrauch on a 15 ft-lb Marauder pistol and it is very backyard capable - per ft-lb it might be the best in my stable.

I have the Jefferson State Air Rifles aluminum air tube. It makes a remarkable difference in overall weight & balance.

Thinking you want her in a PCP, so this suggestion may not fit. Put her in an HW30. She will be able to cock and shot that rifle well. My girls started on an HW30 at roughly the same age. If she looses interest, you still have a great gun at a reasonable price.

Great comments by everyone! I'll simply add another point of view. I have all three caliber Marauders and an FX Wildcat. All four rifles are really fun to shoot and all make me smile:) If you want to go "one gun and done" get an FX. My Wildcat is so sweet to shoot...trigger, accuracy...

I find the HW moderator for the HW30 works well. BTW, Mk12mod1 is a cool user name.

Under 20 ounces might be the most difficult criteria at a 42-44mm objective. Bushnell 6500 Elite in 42 mm objective meets your specs but is out of production - I think replaced by the Engage. So you might have already found what you need. BTW, great post. I feel your pain:)

Hi tyfo. The output pressure of the Nija CF bottles can be increased with additional shims (or thinker shims). As you mention, you still won't get 6-8 fills out of a bottle but at least you will get a few full fills. I find that to be enough air for a trip to the range. Hope this helps.
