I recon my (normal) hammer when cocked has about 0.5 J energy. A 2000uf capacitor at 70v has 5J of energy. In theory there should be lots of spare energy even if the solenoid coil is quite inefficient. I cant find any info as to whether for a capacitor dump, more thin windings or less fat ones...

I don’t see a problem trying the RPB barrel on a P1. Yes there are a high proportion of P2 owners reporting problems. If there are ones who are 100% happy they certainly don’t comment much.

This is the other half of the main valve. It helps a lot to polish it.

Didn't actually dissemble, inspect or polish the main valve which in inside the 'cup' part underneath plastic disk. It could be scratched like mine was.

Ill probably have a go at modifying the valve with a new brass one and balance tube. The top one is the 3rd RTI version of the valve.

The inside of the cylinder didnt change. The original was always smooth but the replacement was terrible from new. Im now using the original balance tube with the new valve.

So apart form the aluminum paste inside the old tube, it looks quite smooth right? Check out how the new replacement looks. WTF.

The spring inside the balance tube has sharp ends and eats its way through the back of the aluminum valve. The debris from this accumulates inside the tube and prevents free movement of the valve.
