    N/A Diana P-5 pistol?

I had one but sold it. Mine did not come with the trigger bolt installed. If memory serves the threaded hole was there but no screw.

Daisy Too much oil in an ssp airgun Daisy 717

Still, I would like to know why this happens. What is the mechanism that causes some of the air to be blocked? Why would over oiling cause this?

Daisy Too much oil in an ssp airgun Daisy 717

I will keep shooting for now, but here is what I noticed. My first 2 or 3 were low, about an inch in 20 feet. When I reloaded, it was harder to open the cocking arm, then air pressure still in pushes the lever open. When it shoots right, and it mostly does, it shoots accurate, and it cocks like...

Daisy Too much oil in an ssp airgun Daisy 717

I think I may have put too much oil in. The oil was added at the foam wiper. The gun became a little erratic. It fires and may be improving. What does over oiling do? And how is it fixed? It was oiled with silicon oil, and It was a gun I resealed in the more recent past.

    N/A Daisy 717 question

It stopped doing it today. I did oil it yesterday, and it was still doing it, but it has stopped for now. I ran 5 shots through the chrono, and they were all above 380 with the first being just over 390 fps. I may take a center punch and make a couple of divots in the bolt where it won't be...

New bolts are cheap but why would that be a fix? The existing ones are in good condition.

    N/A Daisy 717 question

Just tried some silicon oil, but to no avail. I have two 717s and both do this. Not always but often. I have a 777 also, but it does not do this. They just kind of lift the handle, which takes little effort. I am not sure if it matters.

    N/A Diana 6 Breech Seal

I figured that the seal will get more compressed permanently in its own due time. If that is how they wear. Maybe I will try paper shims next. Thanks for the tips. I found that Grainger has these seals, o-rings, for $3.85 for a pack of 50. It would be a nice thing if there was a database that...

    N/A Diana 6 Breech Seal

I punched out a seal out 0.019 (19thousanths) inch plastic. It proved to be too thick with the gun shooting about 8 inches low with the rear sight set high. I tried punching seals from 0.005 but was unable to cleanly so far. So I thinned the seal some by sanding it on 320 wet paper to the point...
