finding parts for old BSA springer

Thanks a lot guys, that gives me a place to start. The iron sights were removed and lost over the years, I'd like to replace them as well. It's a good rifle, I feel it's worth restoring.

finding parts for old BSA springer

I own an old BSA springer I've had for probably close to 30 years. It's in .177 and stills shoots at about 700 psi with very good accuracy. I would like to rebuild it but have no idea what model it is { no markings} or where to even obtain parts. Serial number is WD01584. Any advice would be...

    $150 scope suggestions

Optics Planet stocks the Valiant line of scopes, they are an eastern european company. I bought the 10 x 44 and I love it, got the FBR retical and it works great, The glass is clear edge to edge and the side parilax adjustment is spot on . They start at 155.00 and go to 199.00 I believe. You...

Need help removing Akela hammer spring

I started with the Lane Regulator, my first string of 48 shots ran from 836 fps to 820 fps, Reg was set at 110 BAR. At the top of the Reg on the brass adjuster you should see a red dot, that should be lined up with one of the cuts on the valve housing. That cut indicates the pressure set point...

Need help removing Akela hammer spring

That seems to be the norm for either set-up, then you would adjust it from there, your reg. pressure will effect the range of adjustment on the spring. If you set your reg over 125 bar you may not be able to back the spring out enough to get the velocity down. What I'm trying to say is that if...

    Akela stock modification

So I've been playing around with Regs. and springs, doing a lot of tuning. I find myself pulling the stock off constantly to adjust the hammer spring to try different set-ups. Thought there must be a better way, soo.... This mod works great, measured, cut a flat spot, drilled then cleaned up the...

Need help removing Akela hammer spring

I would suggest setting the Reg between 115 and 120 bar, this will give you a good balance between power and air efficiency. The tuning is going to be done thru the hammer spring and choice of pellets. Remember your air gauge will be off now because it's reading the pressure on the Reg not the...
