Beeman 1357 Underlever experience and thoughts?

I have a Beeman under lever and think it’s a good bag for the buck. I purchased the 1357 in .177 and wish I had purchased the 1358 in .22. The trigger isn’t great but I oiled it up and the gun is very shootable without any modifications. I shoot almost entirely off hand and for me the under...

Is there a quality semiauto pistol?

I have serval CO2 pistols. Most aren’t that accurate. A lot of them don’t have adjustable sights; which means they may or may not hit where you aim. If you want a blowback pistol; consider the Sig ASP X Five. It’s a bit on the heavy side and not well suited for smaller hands; but it has...

    Umarex SA10 Quick Review

I tried to like the SA10. It fits well in my hand and feels solid, except for the rattily slide. Mine will shoot a fairly tight group at 10 yards; unfortunately, the group is about 1.5 inches left of center. I can’t understand why manufactures keep making air pistols without adjustable sights. I...

    Visiting NC

I was in downtown Asheville a couple of weeks back. Went there for breakfast, after watching the sunrise on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The only person that offended me was the restaurant worker who told me I’d have to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes to get a table. There were a bunch of seedy looking...

    Springfield Armory M1A Scope Mount

Can anyone tell me what the little triangle piece with a dovetail on it, that came in the scope mounting kit is for? It’s the little part on the righthand side of the photo, next to the screw in standoff. It looks like it would fit into the receiver, in place of the dovetailed piece with the...

AEA Challenger Standard bolt won't lock back when cocked

I have a Challenger .357 and had a similar issue. I almost returned the gun; before I discovered that, due to a poorly fitting stock, part of the action was rubbing on the stock and would keep the trigger from fully engaging. A little material removal from the stock and the gun was safe to...

Why I think EVERYONE should own a Gamo Urban

I own an Urban, a few other budget PCPs and a few higher end PCPs. They’re all fun to shoot and tinker with. The Urban is an excellent gun for price. Just shoot what you have and enjoy it!

    Diana bandit tuning

Has anyone tried shooting their Bandit without the moderator? The muzzle velocity on my .177 jumped almost 50 fps without the moderator. Anyone experienced this or have any ideas why this would happen? The sound also went up a lot!

    P17 time today...

I also have a Stoeger XP4, which is similar type pistol and sells for a reasonable price. If you like the P-17 and get a chance, I recommend picking up an XP4. It's a lot of fun to shoot the XP4 and P-17 one after the other to compare them. I've found the accuracy to be about the same.

    P17 time today...

The P-17 is a very good value and a lot of fun to shoot. I have both the P-17 and the P-3. They are very similar, with the P-17 being made in China and the P-3 being made in Germany. My experience with the 2 pistols is that the P-3 is marginally more accurate: but it is also 4 or 5 time the cost.
