Tuning Impact M3 + Slug Power Kit - Understanding Tuning

Yes, I ended up leaving the 2nd reg pressure at 150 bar. The noise level, especially without a moderator, went up substantially. With the macro wheel at 16 it sounds like a powder-burner. However, I have been shooting JSB King Heavies (33.95gr) at Macro 8 and A&A Fields (25.4gr) at Macro 3 with...

Tuning Impact M3 + Slug Power Kit - Understanding Tuning

I recently purchased an Impact M3 700mm/.25 and have been having fun shooting it a ton over the last week with the JSB Exact Kings that Utah Airguns tuned it for. Today, my Fx Pocket Chronograph finally arrived, so I was excited to finally get it tuned for the JSB King Heavies and eventually the...

    Lube for Slugs NSA .22 24.8gr .218

Did you notice any difference in fps with lube? I’ve been wondering if a thin layer of lube would fill gaps between the barrel and the slug yielding higher pressure behind the slug before it exits the barrel.

    M3 or wait for M4

You can typically buy parts to do an upgrade to the new gen too, unless they completely change the platform for some reason. I’d say that is unlikely given the success of the Impact in its current form, but who knows. At any rate, gen 1 Impact is still a great gun. The newer generations have...

Any hog hunters here shooting the FX Impact?

The Impact M3 .30 with the slug power kit can produce more that 100 fpe. You should have absolutely no problem taking hogs with a nice heavy slug in that gun. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

    NSA 34.9gr .25 cal at 1020 fps

I’ve always wondered about this. Powder burners will push to speeds over 1000fps for the best groups, but they are using much thicker, heavier barrels. Theoretically, the higher speeds with more spin will yield flatter trajectories. That makes me think the spread at higher speeds is a result of...

Tuning M3 Suddenly Dumping Air- Help, please!

I would double check the first reg. 240 bar down to 100 bar is a LOT of air. No way you wouldn’t hear that much blowing out in a couple seconds. It wouldn’t be a hiss, it would be violent. I would check the pressure directly at the bottle (if you have a quick fill adapter or similar) or take...
