    Tuning Reg. Creeping Down

Hi guys, thought I'd report the latest....oh, and BTW, thank you for your responses!!! I took the AMP Reg out and examined. There was a good sized fiber on the reg body which may or may not have been across an o-ring, I just don't know. But the AMP Reg has always had a bit of a slight creep...

    Tuning Reg. Creeping Down

I'll have to do a leak check this evening. I have not noticed a leak on the gauges and I'm using Sekhmet gauges so I trust them over the analog gauges, (though no gauge is truly accurate). What happens is I take the gun out of the case and check the reg and lately its been lower than when the...

    Tuning Reg. Creeping Down

Well I’ve heard of regs generally creeping up but on my Impact MKII it creeps down. This is the FX AMP Reg. set to 164 bar. Three times now I’ve had to bring it back up from 154 or 157. And this happens within maybe 1/2 to 1 hour. Does anyone have an idea as to why? I have a high pressure...

    This or This?

Thanks for the responses Thought in a whim I’d try Balistol. People use it to clean barrel plus it’s a lube so made sense. But I plan to try the others as well. The Dupont Dry Film looks interesting. Now all I have to do is wait for the snow to stop and he temp to rise up out of the teens!!!

    This or This?

I’m wondering if anyone has an opinion as to these two lubes. I’ve tried both but only once each so not enough data. The liquid silicon oil seemed to have an edge but again too early to tell. The weather has been lousy for a month straight; can’t get out to test. The WD-40 Specialist...

Is there anything like the Drozd?

I have a Blackbird and I've been in touch with Mason. Nice guy, very helpful. After talking with him I was able to get my Blackbird, with stock circuit board, (modified for full auto), to shoot at 900 fps. Running Voltage to just under 16V. They are fun guns! Sorry I know your post is about...

Tuning High Reg. Pressure vs Low Reg Pressure

Vetmx, I'm inclined to agree with a lot you say. The Impact is a cool gun but more than once I have wished that there weren't so many things to adjust..... Edited out the rest....no purpose for it here, really.

Tuning High Reg. Pressure vs Low Reg Pressure

Would be nice to know where to get a spacer if it helps. Ihandy, I didn’t really pay attention to the shot count. I think I’ll set it back to the high reg pressure of 135 Bar and make a note of that. I’d think at PW-2 it would still be good but I don’t mind losing a few shots for better...

Tuning High Reg. Pressure vs Low Reg Pressure

Hey guys Yeah, shooting an Impact MKII with the 700 mm Superior Heavy liner. Also have a Slug A liner that I might start experimenting with. I’m also using the CF liner sleeve as well. Barrel tightness and other spots have been checked and everything seems good Am using the FX OEM...

Tuning High Reg. Pressure vs Low Reg Pressure

Recently I was starting to notice that my groups were opening up at what was once a very nice tune. I did the usual, barrel clean, check hammer stop, check HSTA, scope mount tightness, etc. So I thought I'd re-tune. I was watching Dubber's video on tuning for slugs at high power. Long story...

CF liner: 29 Bucks Well Spent

Flintsack You hit the nail on the head. There’s really not much info out there for slugs and .25. Hoping that the .25-ers will get something out of this.

CF liner: 29 Bucks Well Spent

Flintsack Funny thing is that 0.356” group was the very first group out of the chute. The rest kinda got progressively worse but I wish I’d had a picture of my face with that first one. If the second one had been that good I’d have fallen over. 😆😆 i wonder if anyone else is having the same...

CF liner: 29 Bucks Well Spent

Centercut, that is correct. Now I’m hoping to get back on the BR trail. I just couldn’t get consistency with the O-rings. I’m going to check the liner for smoothness and polish if necessary.

CF liner: 29 Bucks Well Spent

It’s taken about a year and a half to get here. Trying different slugs having trouble with the gun itself. Had to send it back to FX ….then messing around w those blasted liner o-rings. it’s been a long frustrating road but finally it’s falling together.
