    Straw hay bales for backstop?

Zebra, iride, Springrrr, GoodToGo, thanks for all the great help and ideas. I think the idea I originally had of railroad ties as a big backstop will work good. Maybe some carpet hung as side curtains to prevent spatter from the metal spinners. A big box (or suitcase) filled with the rubber...

    Straw hay bales for backstop?

Zebra, what kind of fiberglass? Like fiberglass insulation? Fill a box full of that and shoot into it? Any idea how deep it would be in order to work? And...where would one get kevlar? Allison

    Straw hay bales for backstop?

Slayerious, I think I'm going to go with the idea of a big rubbermaid gob filled with rubber mulch. Maybe some old cloth inside, too. I'll still have to have walls and a big backstop, something like maybe railroad ties? I don't want pellets going past the targets and I'll have metal spinners so...

    How Accurate are Cleaning pellets?

I used to shoot them in my .177 Beeman Webley pistol. Used them to kill carpenter bees and flys from about 8 feet.

    Straw hay bales for backstop?

Wow, fellas, thanks for all the great thoughts and ideas! I hadn't thought of the lead being left inside the straw bales but thanks for pointing that out. I think I'll skip on that idea. I think the metal, or rubbermaid box, filled with rubber mulch will be a better idea. I have a set of metal...

    Straw hay bales for backstop?

Actually, Mike, I plan on having my targets in front of the bale. But trying to tape a target would be a challenge haha. My main concern was if a .22 pellet would go through a hay bale. Also, they would be out in the yard all year. Getting wet might present a problem, too.

    Straw hay bales for backstop?

I was wondering if anyone has used a straw bale as a backstop? I have my AA 510s in .22 cal. and wondered just how good (or bad) straw bales would work as a backstop? Alli In Lower Lake

Some one changed my name on the map?

When I open the map, all I see is myself. How do I check to see anyone close by where I live?

    I had a woopse! again

X27, it seems as if you have a pretty weak gun there as it can't even shoot through a windowsill. I'd suggest that you get a bigger gun! Allison

How to mount a bipod? Problems?

Ok, so I got my AA S510 and am using a folding table on my porch. I have a small plastic box with a folded t-shirt to rest my leading hand on but I think I'd like a bipod. I know there are many, expensive and inexpensive ones, out there but just how hard is it to mount (or unmount) one...
