Airforce Texan .457 ss valve question

I picked up a Texan .457 ss in a pawn shop for $475. There was a rattle noise in the air tank and 0 psi. I removed the valve body and found the valve disc had come off of the valve stem. It appears to be pressed together. I pressed it back on and did a partial fill. It seems to be holding air...

    New tuxing compressor temp probe

I just received my new tuxing compressor and the temperature sensor bulb was hanging loose. I have looked for where it is supposed to go, but no luck. Anyone know where the probe is supposed to go? Really don't want to run it until it's correct. Thanks, badammo D.

    Giles strikes again

So there I was watching airgun 101 and watched Giles' video on the Luger P09. Well I was impressed with his take on it and so ordered one for myself. I have to say it is a load of fun to shoot, although it does burn through the c02. The accuracy was surprising, hitting cans at 20 feet pretty...

    Shortening a Crosman stock

I just picked up a Benjamin p- rod and it is a great little pistol. Although the Crosman/ Benjamin stock is too long for mounting the shirt scopes that I like to use. The UTG bugbuster is a great little scope for a gun like this. The problem is that the scope sirs way too forward and you have to...

    Nesting in the eaves? Nope!

This one and his mate were trying to nest in the eave of the house. I set up in the shop with my camo on and waited about ten minutes and drilled it. The shot was only about ten yards. A simple shot for the Crosman 2240 that's now a .177. A bug buster 3X9 on top. It's a great little scope for...

    Casting big bore bullets

With so many shooting the big bores and ammo being pretty expensive. I would like to suggest to those interested in bullet casting to check out the cast bullet association. http://castbulletassoc.org/forum I have been a member for several years and the people on the forum are a lot like those...

    Airforce super sear update

I installed the super sear from AOA in my talon ss and condor ss. Both had a trigger pull of 2 1/2 pounds. The condor ss now breaks at 12 ounces and the talon ss is 24 ounces. I would like to increase the condor up to 24 ounces as well. All in all it was a worth while upgrade.

    Crosman pcp for ar 15

A while back crosman had a pcp upper for the ar 15. The unit was fairly low powered and quite expensive for what it was. The upper would have been great if higher power and larger caliber. Does anyone know what happened to that idea? And why no one else has tried something similar?

    Shoebox knocking

My new shoebox compressor starts to knock at about 3000 psi and seems to get louder as it approaches 4500 psi. Below 3000 it runs real quiet. I am curious if this is due to the type of off switch operation it has. The operation manual does not address this, only saying it is as loud as a sewing...

    My shoebox setup

I got the parts for this setup at Harbor Freight. All the parts are 1/4 inch which made connection simple. Oil/warer seperator p.n 68246 and desicant filter p.n. 68215. The desicant filter turns from blue to pink when it needs replacing or drying. This setup was under 20 bucks to assemble and...

Webley Vulcan found in pawn shop

I was rumaging around in my favorite pawn shop in Lewiston Idaho and found a Webley Vulcan sitting in the gun rack. After looking it over it seemed in good shape, so 150 bucks later it went to its new home. The barrel of course was filthy, but once 40 yeara of gunk was washed out it was in...
