    Snowpeak M60B blowby

I notice there is a lot of blowby that hits my cheek while shooting this rifle, coming from the magazine/breech. Is that common with this rifle, or should I be delving into the innards looking for a bad o-ring? cheers JD

    HW/Weihrauch Plug Screw Availability

I used small black plastic plugs or caps on mine. Very cheap on amazon, easily reversed back to original, and have never become loose or fallen out. Also, they look like they belong there. Push fit, no threads. Perfect.

Sheridan What is a Sheridan? Really

According to Ronald Elbe’s book, Know Your Sheridan Rifles and Pistols, 2nd edition, copyright 2018 by Ronald E. Elbe, the 5mm pellet (and airgun) existed in Europe prior to the launch of the Sheridan model A (the Supergrade) in 1947.

    Crosman Crosman 38-T

I am wondering whether or not the 22 cal 38T was introduced in the early years as well. I have several 22 cal 38Ts that are early models with all metal sights and pellet cylinder. Your write up seems to indicate that only the 177 38T was produced early on.

    Air Arms CO2 pistols

I have a few belt mag replicas and to prevent jam ups I found that liberal dosing of each link in the belt with silicon oil solved any issues. I lather the stuff in the tray housing as well. Its cheap to buy, if you get it as "treadmill silicon oil". no more feed problems of jam ups since I...

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

It appears to be a '57 or 58, then. No hole on the receiver, so after 56. Slim trigger guard held with screws.

    No I did not.

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

The stock was the main reason I brought them. I already have some really nice Sheridan rifles, but none with such a nice stock!

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

Here are 4 photos of the two Quebec rifles. I have one currently torn down for a resto, so just the basics are shown. The other I think I will leave as is. The safety, ribbing etc can be seem on both of them. I just mounted the williams peep on the one rifle yesterday; it needs to be removed now...

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

Rokonman wins. I got these rifles from Quebec, and it turns out that in that province there is a requirement to have a serial number on all guns, and if there is none, the lovely government will happily hammer an obscene looking tattoo on the side of your rifle so they can keep track of you and...

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

Thanks for that. Mine both appear to be from the 50's, according to the "change log". Both have slim trigger guards held with two phillips screw, no rivet (or evidence of there ever being one), Both have ribbing striations on the receiver top, and both have the "sculpted" front sight. You are...

    Sheridan Strange marking on Sheridans

Is the plural of "Sheridan", "sheridie? Anyway,I have two Sheridans with some odd markings, and maybe folks could tell me if these were made by the manufacturer, or placed there by some long departed owner. I can't figure out head from tail on these. There is no other marking on either rifle...

    HW/Weihrauch 1968 HW50

A bit of a curious situation. Is there something you can see through the cocking slot that might be jamming it in there? If you ultimately decide its a parts gun, I have been looking for a vintage HW50 piston for the past two years. I'd sure be happy to take that one off your hands! cheers

    Other Webley Tempest

There is another really nice one on the Gunpost, just listed today. I think it is Gorby (New Brunswick) selling it, with a holster and Andy Davies walnut grips. Fellow Cdn. Mind you, with the current postal strike it'll be a while in transit.

    BSA BSA Scorpion

I was shooting mine just yesterday, its a .177. They are a lovely pistol, good trigger, not bad accuracy. I find with this gun I get better accuracy with the butt rested, which is a bit different. I see you also have the cocking aid, which I find is really a help with this gun, its pretty hard...

Crosman Crosman 2240 Radical Trigger Mod

MikDee, thanks for the instructible. I have quite a few 2240s in various forms, and your trigger modification is one I hadn't thought of. It looks like it a great way to improve the trigger; I plan to try it out on at least one of them. Its true that the Chaser is a real contender, and there are...
