    Long Gong Challenge...........

Well it appears air rifles are not welcome to compete against 22lr by the official FB group rules. I had a question about leaderboards and record scores, and was promptly informed we're not in the cool club. It's a shame really. Not the way I expected the conversation to go.

New design AEA Pellets update & comparison to old design

If you look at the pics on page 2, they redistributed the lead from the skirt to inside the pellet. So the skirt thickness is thinner, and the inside is "filled up" more. This brings the flat part of the shape closer to the skirt opening, and since it is a cone, makes the hole look "bigger"...

    POLISH AN LW POLYGONAL BARREL?

I did not get it swapped. I did polish and firelap it though. It's still a shooter, so it wasn't worth my trouble to go any further.

    Long Gong Challenge...........

I had heard that too for the v1 chassis. Mine is the v2, and I didn't run into any fitment problems. The only snag is that I have an older Panthera block, and even with the King safety upgrade kit, I was not able to install the safety. That's not the chassis fault though, it's the way the relief...

My adventure using a RAW HM1000X for NRL22

I'm glad you're having some success! Wind calls from any calculator are... suggestions at best. It's going to be accurate if you have consistent wind all the way from your shooting position to the target. No swirls or obstructions, no landscape features. I've almost never found this to be the...

My adventure using a RAW HM1000X for NRL22

Did you alter your BC for G7? It's roughly half the G1 number.

My adventure using a RAW HM1000X for NRL22

I've had good luck truing with just BC, given you have an accurate MV and environmentals. I shoot the Altaros and use G7, so you can try that too (you're shooting the ACEs right?). I know people who try too hard with DSF and other advanced truing methods, and end up getting lost in the weeds. At...

My adventure using a RAW HM1000X for NRL22

Don't use wind in Strelok at anything but full value (90 or 270) degrees. The calculation is wrong. I've told the developer, he doesn't care. To verify the error... enter no wind. Check the drop table, note your muzzle velocity at 1 yd from muzzle. Now enter a 10 mph head wind (0 degrees)...

Just got my Airmarksman Ace slugs

I shoot the Altaros at ~960, a bit higher outside in the heat. And well, go check the Long Gong Challenge thread...

Barrels Looking for FX .22 cal 600-800 mm 1:14 twist Heavy STX liner

As title says, looking for FX .22 cal 600-800 mm 1:14 twist Heavy STX liner. I'll take the liner alone or as part of a barrel kit.

    Long Gong Challenge...........

I was going to start a new thread but found this.... I shot a long gong match this weekend before the PRS Great Lakes regional finale. Absolutely crushed the rimfires, next highest score was 77. There's another before the Creekside NRL22X match at the end of the month and I'm definitely looking...

    Why the DRS Pro?

I'm not sure what comes in the kit, but I use the heavy 8 mm hammer for higher reg pressure, and a pin probe. The pin probe will get you 10-15 fps if I remember correctly. The "enhanced" transfer ports like Huma do not provide much benefit for the effort required to install them, compared to...

    Why the DRS Pro?

That's good to hear you don't have the issue. But I can attest not everyone is so lucky. Like any tolerance issue, you might have got some of the good ones, or just not used them in such a way as to notice or exacerbate the issue.

    Why the DRS Pro?

I have somewhat unsubstantiated info that there's a machining tolerance issue with either the barrel inlet (the brass part) or the block, or both, such that the barrel wanders in the block even after it's secured with the grub screw. I have not heard that the change in pressure of the airtube is...

    Why the DRS Pro?

I'd put an asterisk there for the time being. The DRS has a shifting POI issue which, to my knowledge, is being researched and will eventually be fixed. I don't now how that will be made available to current rifles or if it will be a silent "upgrade" again. But I will bet money those parts were...

    Why the DRS Pro?

In PRS high round count stages are becoming more common, 15+. So for sure air capacity is an issue even with a .22 cal DRS. The 700 mm barrels can push the 40s in the low 1000s, but I think Francis / Chad were more like 980 with those Corbin slugs. I'm shooting the 40s around 965 with my 600...
