Yes I think the O2 tank will work just fine. You should probably change the color on the tank, and label it for compressed air. Be sure not to leave oxygen in it and put plenty of power lube on the pellet. It could explode or go super sonic that's above 1600fps. Be safe.

I can't find the HPA adapter. The link takes me to Ebay and it must have changed? Please clarify which adapter does it? Also did you have to adjust your buffer spring for the extra recoil. If not you probably should.
