WTB Left Handed Match Air Rifle

I am looking to purchase a left handed match air rifle either 10m or FT. I am looking to get into the sport and not immediately looking to compete but would like to in the future. I am looking for either PCP or SSP rifle. I am not looking to break the bank but do want something nice. Please let...

Stretch, thank you for the thoughts. I think amidst my frustration I have failed to think about the consequences. Back to the drawing board. Maybe the electric fence idea is better.

    Less than lethal?

All, Thank you all for the awesome ideas! I think I am going to try the paintball gun to begin with. I have been giving this a lot of though and I am hoping the owners see their dogs come back with paint on them and think about it. If that doesn’t work than I’ll have to move up in the spectrum...

    Less than lethal?

I like the rubber ball pistol idea and will do some research on that. I have plenty of rim fire and other firearms for coyotes but I was hoping for an all in one solution. Thank you all for the awesome/invaluable information!

    Less than lethal?

I have been reading about pepper balls and I cannot tell if it affects the chickens eyes or not. I would love to keep them from coming back. But I also have children and a dog of my own so I don’t want to make too much mess. Thank you all for the great ideas!

Scouty, thank you for that! I am trying To figure it out right now. I loved the idea of coyote pee so the dogs go back home stinking but most of these dogs are not house pets I don’t think. I am pretty sure a couple may be wild dogs.

Qball, lead pellets was something I didn’t think about so thank you for that! I know our dumb chickens will eat anything.

    Less than lethal?

Would the pepper spray balls have any effect on the chickens in close proximity? That would be my only real concern. I have considered the wrist rocket but the last time I shot one of those I couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. Thanks you all again! All awesome information and leading me down...

    Less than lethal?

Very true with the paintball idea. I played paintball long ago when I was much younger. I’ll have to look into that. I would just have to keep it away from my boys. Lol

    Less than lethal?

All thank you for the awesome ideas. We do actually have a camera system on it because we are afraid these dogs will get through. These dogs are very large 150-200lbs dogs. I like the electric fence idea.

    Less than lethal?

I did consider airsoft as well. I tried my kids daisy red rider and shot one of the dogs in the butt but it didn’t even phase it when it was trying to get through the chicken wire. I was maybe 10 yards from it but it wanted to get into the coop. Thank you all for the great options!

    Less than lethal?

ChRiSiS, thank you that is an option I had considered but worry about accuracy. My thought was to try plastic bbs or was hoping to find rubber pellets.

    Less than lethal?

Thank you very much for the advice. I have actually tried both Unfortunately. Animal control doesn’t do anything other than take the dog back and the owners told me to put up a fence. I can’t afford to fence 16 plus acres. Killing coyotes would just be a bonus but I dont want to be the neighbor...

    Less than lethal?

I have been lurking around this forum for a while but I cannot seem to find the information I am looking for. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I live out in a rural area and have chickens in a coop/run. The problem comes when the neighbors (using the term loosely) let their dogs...
