Well, here's the finished product: Hoodie with front flap (detached), top (antlers mofified to thorny type branches), matching mitten covers, and the pants. Now I just need to decide whether I want to go hunting or to the beach LOL

Got starterted modifying the ''horns'' this AM. Will look more like thorns I reckon than antlers. Anyhow, I won't be trademarking anything as I care little if someone else gets rich off of it. I got my full health and I'm happy = already wealthy. ;)

Yall got me thinking I might actually modify the antlers somewhat to make them more...''less'' deerlike. I actually thought this while making them, but LOL got carried away.

Oh and since I always thought ASAT looked like it had deer antlers scattered throughout the design, figured why not put in actual deer antler shapes yuk yuk! Anf of course, I'll still be wearing the usual blaze orange hunting vest over top, but figure the suit might help in making the birds less...

Hey all. Am currently making this suit as I'll be hunting grouse in snow these next few weeks. Couldn't decide between ASAT and Predator...so I decided to make my own and make a ''hybrid'' of the two combing their best attributes. I'll let y'all know how it goes once the hunting starts. ;)...

Appreciate the replies. Yeah...I'm shooting a sub 200$ break barrel. Umarex Surge Max Elite .22. equipped with a Nikon Coyote Special 3X9X40 that has the front lens unscrewed to change parralax. I can get 1/2' groups at 20 yards benched (RWS SuperPoints), but I'd love to get the same prone.

Already Googled and YouTubed the Begeebees out of this and found scant info. Looking for high end advice on how to shoot a break barrel air rifle from a prone position. I've tried a fluffy rest under the foregrip: sloppy groupings and shifty POIs. Pictures appreciated.

Forgot to mention that the reason I'm trying to do this is to lower the FEEL of the trigger's pull weight from 4.75 pounds to a nicer 3.something - ideally around 3.5 lbs. I know I won't be able to take any poundage off the trigger pull weight doing a lube job, but if I can influence how it FEELS...

So...what kind of rest is best for someone sitting down on the ground with a gas ram in the lap? I've been experimenting w/ DIY shooting sticks and shooting off of hand padded knee. Looking for the best type of rest for when sitting. Shooting distances: 10 to 20 yards.

Looking into modding my Umarex Surge Max Elite (.22) to make the trigger lighter than the 4.75 pound pull. I've already slightly rounded the trigger adjustment screw and this seems to have reduced or smoothed out the first stage pull. So...before I tackle this, I'm wondering if the trigger is...

Sorry if question is redundant. Did search and nothing came up. Did 1st clean/degreasing of new break barrel (Umarex SurgeMax Elite .22) and accidentally got a drop or two of GooGone on the seal. Manufacturer states NOT to use any petroleum based cleaners but GooGone seems everywhere in forums...

Question: will my regular scope rings work on the USM ELite's Piccatiny rail system? Or do I need a different set of mounts?

I have the Crosman Shockwave in .22. Finnicky rifle - potential tack driver out to 20 meters, but fussy on pellets - prefers JSB Match Diabolo in 15,89 gr. Very light so don't rely on weight of the rifle dor stabilization. Definitely requires trigger modification as pulling the trigger feels...
