N/A old man that is newby to air guns

I have the Hatsan 135QE in .25 caliber. Over 850 fps with 25 grain pellets. Not another spring rifle as powerful. No way would I use it on Ground Hog. 22 rimfire at 40 yards can be a stretch. They are incredibly tough critters. I used a 22 Hornet for years on them. Had to rid a horse coral...

JTS JTS Super 9X - new this fall

After further research it appears this rifle was supposed to be released last fall. Does anyone have any newer information about it or is it a dead end?

    JTS JTS underlever?

    Seems to be the case.

JTS JTS Super 9X - new this fall

An interesting new model that JTS showed at the shot show is a barrel cocking “Target” rifle. Super 9X. Match barrel and match trigger. Target sights. Internals are said to be of the highest quality. The picatinny rail is removable to expose the dovetail. Could handle a Diopter sight then. $140...

    JTS JTS underlever?

The specifications for the Stonewolf are not listed on the JTS website. Does anyone know the weight? Under levers are typically quite heavy. An interesting new model that JTS showed at the shot show is a barrel cocking “Target” rifle. Super 9X. Match barrel and trigger. Target sights. Internals...

N/A Will a gas piston trash a scope like a springer?

Gas rams do create an instant snap that springs do not. This may be more detrimental to scopes. However, some gas rams are adjustable. So in this case total control is there to tone the shot cycle down.

N/A Will a gas piston trash a scope like a springer?

Hatsans have a unique “SAS” system. Shock Absorber System. It is very effective. The entire receiver system moves forward upon piston impact. I have had a inexpensive “Sniper” brand scope on two 135’s and several 95’s. All have held up .

HW/Weihrauch I have my HW50 tuned great,at first I hated it because it did not perform the way people were bragging about it.

Excluding the HW30/R7 in 177 caliber, the HW95/R9 in .20 caliber was out-of-box most accurate Weihrauch I have ever had. I think the weight/velocity ratio of those two guns are the sweet spot in the Weihrauch lineup. Only one ever better was the HW55. Long discontinued. By starting on the R9 in...

    Crossman 760, so disappointing.

$15 or $20 won’t do it. The 760 cost $19.95 in 1968. And made in America. Not China.

    Crossman 760, so disappointing.

Definitely look for an older one. Fixer upper if you have the time. Top one I bought “1968” for $49. Bottom one “fixer upper” costed me a whopping $15. If you decide to redo one, take your daughter along for the ride.

Yes. The front side of the trigger needs to be filed down as per the picture. All the way to the extended flat. Borrowed picture.

Jeff, your gun is a 753. Your gun has the MC (wood) stock, larger removable front sight and deluxe Diopter. That’s the three differences between the 753 and 853. And an adjustable butt pad that I can’t get anymore. Lol

Jeff, did you install the sear adjustment screw? Also, Daisy doesn’t run these that often. The box says that they are assembled here in the U.S from German and China parts. We know the German part. The barrel. Everything else is from China. This may make them get even harder to acquire. I’m...

Daisy Daisy Avanti 753W Elite Competition- Information wanted.

Got in my new 753S. Did the trigger modification and lube. Kept this one with the Diopter. Unbelievable accuracy at 40 yards. This one loves the RWS Hobby 7.0 grain pellets also. Shoots them at 525 fps. Love shooting with the target sights. Not crazy about synthetic stocks (packed the cavity...

Crosman Crosman Model 140 2nd Variant

Soak the rust in WD40 for a couple days. Then pick at it with a tooth pick. Soak some more. Steel wool is a last resort and will weaken the blue all around it. Eventually the rust spots will be negligible. Then degrease the spots. Soak a toothpick in a bluing and rub into the spot. This will...

    Traditional Rifle Sheridan-Benjamin-Crosman C9A

C9A. .20 caliber. Pretty much like new. Launches H&N FTT at 700 fps with eight pumps. Few handling marks to small to capture. Trigger has been tuned. Did the overnight pump test. Holds the air. Nice matching Walnut stock. Shoulder problems won’t let me pump these much anymore. $225 plus $25...

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

FWIW. I’ve had several of each 95/R9, 98/R1 in .20 caliber over many decades. The 95/R9 is the better gun for .20. IMHO

Daisy Daisy Avanti 753W Elite Competition- Information wanted.

Daisy. Easiest to call. Wonderful people. 1. Keep in mind that when the new adjustment screw is turned inwards to lessen the sear engagement, the spring on the upper left of the trigger is compressed. This spring needs to be almost with no pressure on it when the adjustment screw is not yet...
