I headshoot them at appx 50 yards with my Beeman Kodiak in .25 slinging Silver Bears (I'm old). I have also cleanly taken them in the head with my brother's RWS 48 in .22 using the 16gr JSB exacts at the same distance. I'd recommend a scoped 48 in .22 if he wants an adult springer or an RWS 54...

Another vote for Sportsmatch AOP55s. Have them on a Patriot, an R1, and a HW90 with tens of thousands of pellets and no issues yet
