Question about dedicated Air Archery gun v. an Arrow Barrel Kit...

On paper it looks like the specs are lacking in the speed and fpe department on the FX kit. I am sure it will serve its purpose depending on what the intent is. If this is an entry level thing that you just want to try out I say go with the cheaper options.

question older career II fill valve options

I was wondering if there is an over the counter fill valve that can be used to replace the stock fill valve to convert it to the foster type quick disconnect valve? I know the websites in England (UK) have them and charge a good bit for one and shipping to the USA. I was wondering if there is...

    FX Crown Arrow Kit

I frown at proprietary arrows like in the FX impact video. They should keep it simple and use a tube the arrow slides over like the benjamin airbow, air saber, and hatsan harpoon. Having the adjustable regulator would be a huge game changer for anyone that likes shooting arrows and would save...

Great times with the LCS SK-19!

Thanks for the video. Some good enthusiasm in there! When they decide to use detachable mags and maintain or improve the accuracy, power, adjustable nature of it am in. There are others on the market that are not full auto but give the features above plus semi auto with detachable mags. I...

Yong Heng / Yong Heng copies, parts

Is the price difference even worth it? For $300 on amazon a yong heng is a no brainer for me. What kind of price are you seeing for a copycat version? Sorry for not answering your question but I think I make a valid point. No experience with copies though. My yong heng still going strong...

It's time to define max distance to shoot.

I think this would have many factors to consider. Weight fps Caliber pellet or slug and shape Muzzle energy and energy at those distances will vary Shooting at a chrono at 10 to 100 yards in 10 yard increments will shed some light on this and could give a base line for different...

    AirForce multi-shot....when??

It is exactly why I do not own one. I look at them and love the specs but do not want to hand load every round. In the larger big bore it makes more sense to be single shot. In the smaller calibers it makes no sense to me and they are losing on many customers. Interesting video up there.

    Three Airguns being torture tested

Some very relevant tests in that video. Obviously drop tests are very relevant. Heat tests are very relevant also. Surface temps in summer heat especially on the black surfaces of air guns can get extreme in the sunlight Much more so than that hot tub Dirt and mud tests. The over filling...

High End PcP .22 vs .25

In my opinion the .25 can do what the .22 does and potentially deliver more energy if needed albeit for a little more air and money. For a larger than rodent type animal I would prefer the .25. What makes the higher end and newer PCPs really stand out is the 2 "regulator" system and ability...

    AIR SABER ARROW ISSUES..

Nice info andygranger. What length are the bolts you picked up? I think we should make a list for what works in the popular arrow slingers. Note you can go longer but not really shorter but beware the air tubes will flex and bend with more weight. Hatsan is 2219 x 20 inches (aluminum)...

    AIR SABER ARROW ISSUES..

What I am seeing with arrow slingers is we should be switching to aluminum shafts and using top quality adhesive to bond the insert to the shaft. The high pressure eventually blows the ends out or damages the carbon arrows. I had carbon bolts that literally banana peeled. This was with a...

For those that need a target that will stop the arrows from arrow slingers

Bigshot Extreme 500 will do the trick. I have a hatsan harpoon and have shot the bigshot at point blank range and it stopped the bolt going over 500 fps. Granted it did go past the fletching at point blank range. It should work nicely with some distance. Just be sure you are hitting it where...

The semi auto vs cocking lever dilema

Thanks for the replies. I did start to look at the edgun. Very nice pistol/carbine or whatever it should be called. It seems the price can get to the absurd levels if you plan on getting a few other available parts. It has crossed my mind for sure and has not been eliminated. To answer...

The semi auto vs cocking lever dilema

Like some, air guns have turned into an addiction for me. What I have noticed with my small collection of .25 caliber air guns is about 40 ft lbs of energy seems to be an industry standard with few exceptions. The exceptions list is growing but I still see new models in the 40ft lb range from...
