Benjamin Working Through The New Mrod and furniture

So I've been working through and refining my new Marauder field and target and would like to share experiences to date and get advice on others. I like the gun first of all 😁 I had been wanting one since I bought a used Prod from a fellow member. I recently sold a boat and this was a treat to...

    Crosman 150 valve rebuild question

It has a leaking valve and I was wondering if anyone out there has had any success rebuilding one. This is a gun a buddy gave me that he scored at a yardsale because of this problem. Judging by the bluing and the wear from the breach cover it has been heavily used. I like the balance and feel of...

    Looking For The Next Gun/s

I'm really enjoying the pcp air gunning and have definitely got the bug! I visit this sight every morning with a cup of espresso as part of my daily routine. I've had a Prod for a while now I bought used from a fellow member. I've done plenty of research on tuning and moding the gun. Currently...

    Thinking About The Second Gun/s

I'm really enjoying the pcp air gunning and have definitely got the bug. I visit this sight every morning with a cup of espresso as part of my daily routine. I've had a Prod for a while now I bought used from a fellow member. I've done plenty of research on tuning and moding the gun. Currently...

    Hill Pump Service Intervals?

In a Previous post I warned about not using the Mk 5 without the air drier. I thought I could save a few bucks and go the 'pump only' route. There are some strong opinions out there weather this pump is worth the money and if the dryer is effective stopping condensation. That being said I'm...

A warning on Hill Mk 5 pumps

Do not use one without the air drier! The outer tube is steel and will rust from condensation, found out the hard way and thought I would pass this on. Other than that its good quality, easier to pump and fills the gun quicker than the cheapos. Anyone know where I can find and exploded diagram...

Tried the O rings, Prod results

Here is what I learned: With the original tune using CPHP in 14.3gr, 6 1/2 HS and 3/4 HT = 365fps @ 3000psi with these o rings. Without 425fps so I know they are making contact with the hammer. There does seem to be less spring "twang" and/or valve chatter in the gun. To get the numbers...

SSG/Huma Reg/B Staley vs Stock Prod

So after a LOT of pellets and time with the new chrony I was able to find my guns sweet spot with pressure and tune. 6 1/2 HS, 3/4 HT. Starting at 2200psi I'm getting 608 fps that peaks at shot #10 at 626. It then drops under 600 at shot #15, shot 24 is 535. What kind of numbers could I expect...

Tuning New Chrony, Opinions on #'s and Prod Regs

I followed the wisdom form what Ive learned so far on this site and got a Caldwell chronograph before attempting any tuning on the Prod. This chrony has to be shot through at just the right place I found or an error code comes up. This is the second one (the deluxe with lighted sunshades and...

    2240XL Front Sight Options

I uprgraded to a 10" barrel on this gun and wanted to go with open sights. I had been using a small Hawke RDS but it now resides on the Prod. These rear sights were on the 1377, but I'm getting older and the wrists don't like all the pumping much. I'd like to have something with, I don't know...

    Edited title- Project gun

This rifle was abused before I got it and in pieces as well. A buddy at work gave it to me for free. It's a Beeman RS 3 rifle in .177. Its chinese and I believe it was sold at wallmart. The barrel to the back end of the gun has a few degrees of upward tilt, probably due to cowboy flip ups. The...

Tuning Prod Hammer Throw/ Regulator Questions

What exactly will adjusting the length of the hammer do? Will a shorter hammer pick up more inertia hitting the valve harder or is it the other way around? From previous posts and shooting the gun I learned it has bell like power curve. At max pressure (3000) the FPS goes way down then at about ...

    DIY benchrest ideas

I found some oak stair treads that were dumpster bound on a job having been rejected by the carpenter and got to thinking. I prefer to make things when I can, looking for ideas on what I can set the guns on.

    Tuning Puffing Prod

I'm getting a puff of air when I shoot out of the hammer spring adjustment hole. I took the gun completely to pieces including the valve to find out why. I'm loosing air past the valve pin. I found that out for a fact because of my misinterpretation of the o ring mod; I put 3 small o rings on...

    Tuning Enjoying the Prod

I've had the gun for about a month now and I've had it down to it's basic components. the valve spring is yellow. I'm really liking the trigger group, I guess this it's the difference between the Benjamin and Crosman... kind of like gmc and chevy ha ha. Delving into the character of the gun, for...

    Is There Such a Scope?

I'm looking for a pistol scope that will fit a 3/8 dovetail first of all. Second is I wear glasses so see more clearly beyond 20'. Is there such a pistol scope that can be adjusted like a corrective lens? I typically don't wear glasses around the house, only to drive, and have to use them with...

[WTB] "Stock" Benjamin Marauder Pistol in .22

So I'm wanting to take the next step up with this air gun obsession of mine and get into PCP. I'll need the pump and a scope or RDS. Cosmetics are not that a big of a concern as long as nothing is broken or bent it will be fine. I like to tinker and mod things hence the "Stock" in the title but...
