Oh yah, that seems to be exactly what you're looking for. https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2006/02/crosmans-mysterious-451-military-45-auto/

GeneT, I know exactly what you're going for. It's probably not possible, but you can get close. There are a number of CO2/BB 1911 variations available, with different "brand" names. Most of them are made in the same factory as Dizzum's Barra shown above. If the magazine of the one you're...

    N/A Co2 1911 BB or .177 pellet replicas ?

My Google-Fu must be very strong this morning. Found this first try, which seems to answer all my questions. https://co2-handguns.freeforums.net/thread/1707/kwc-1911-full-strip-guide

    Umarex Colt SAA BB

OA length is about the same but the SAA/M29 cartridges are fatter. One will start into a Dan Wesson chamber but only go about 1/3 in. I can't imagine why you would want to do that.

    N/A Co2 1911 BB or .177 pellet replicas ?

Thanks for the info. I've been afraid to take mine apart since I took the slide off my P.38 and screwed the recoil spring up. Apparently that's a VERY common problem. Sounds like you know what you're talking about. I want to put a flat mainspring housing on my Springfield Armory...

    N/A Co2 1911 BB or .177 pellet replicas ?

Yup. Have to carve or grind some relief on the lower part. But at least the screw holes line up (although the screws themselves are different).

    Umarex Colt SAA BB

No, the Colt SAA/M29 cartridges are bigger. Glad to be of help. I found little good information when I started down this road about three years ago. I had to find all this stuff out for myself, and I have a buttload of $$$ in the journey. But guess what, I haven't asked for any of my money...

    Umarex Colt SAA BB

Good stuff, everyone! 1. BBs vs .177 pellets: I have one of those Crosman 357s, too. It came with 6 cartridges for BBs and 6 cartridges for .177 pellets. I expected the pellets to be more accurate, but they weren't. As they're a lot more expensive than BBs and have no advantage, I shoot BBs...

    Umarex Colt SAA BB

    1. NEVER assume that BBs won't bounce back at you. ALWAYS wear eye protection when shooting BB guns of ANY kind at ANYTHING. And make sure everyone with you has them too. Walmart sells excellent full-coverage goggles for about $5. Your eyes are PRICELESS. 2. The CO2 Colt SAA has enough...

    N/A Co2 1911 BB or .177 pellet replicas ?

Moe, I was in your exact situation about 2 years ago. I did all the "homework" on the problem I could, and, long story short, decided to try the Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Accuracy isn't all that I would like, but it's sufficient for home/basement...

    Wood Grips for Umarex Luger?

Nickap91, thanks for your very detailed and excellent reply! Your gun looks GREAT! After posting the question last year and not receiving any useful answer, I went ahead and ordered the repro wood grips from SARCO. As I suspected, they are not a direct bolt-on fit, but it looks like they will...

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

You are so right. I've found the best use for them is "draw and shoot" or "point and shoot" practice at about 7 yards. For targets I use small paper plates. The CO2 replica pistols are just about perfect for home defense practice, as long as you remember to grip the gun as tightly as if it were...

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

They're not perfect, but they look hella better than the goofy Tech Sights or anything else I could find. They work great and I like 'em a lot. https://eabco.com/m1-carbine-10-22-sight-set-fits-ruger-10-22/

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

Well, they're not "rifles" at all--being BB guns, they're smoothbores. ;) I'd say basically "minute of coke can" out to 10 yards. Past that you'd be better off with one of my .22s, either the Erma/Iver Johnson EM1 or the pimped-out 10/22. ;) But then I can't shoot either one of those in my...

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

Here's the Crosman M1 BB gun I got for Christmas 1968, and the Springfield Armory/Air Venturi M1 CO2/BB I bought a couple years ago. We've come a long way in 55 years! ;)

N/A What is your favorite C02 Pistol?

Springfield Armory Mil-Spec. Same basic gun as your Tanfolio Witness, but with better sights.

    colt saa peacemaker pellet holster

That's a badass-looking rig! Let us know how the chrome plating of the gun holds up to holster wear. Hmmmmm, maybe that's why those things are all plated in the first place.

For those that collect c02, replica pistols

I own all three and can personally vouch for the sheer JOY they will bring into your life. The M3 is my favorite, as its magazine holds 60 shots. AWESOME fun!

    Best deal on CO2?

Another vote for Walmart. 40 for under $18. Last week I bought four boxes (160) for under $75 including state tax.
