My BIL lives in Santa Rosa and there is a big ground squirrel problem at his ranch in the dry creek area. Those things are quite destructive with their burrowing and the vineyard staff are much appreciative when we arrive to thin the herd for them.

Benjamin Kratos would be on my list. About $700. Personally, my .25 is an Air Venturi Avenger (bullpup) which is about $400. Either of these would get the job done. Don't forget you will need to spend money on some type of device to fill the gun with air.

Ground squirrels are a pretty big problem. They burrow like crazy and cause lots of damage. I will be hunting them next week, so happy to help!

I shoot pistols right-handed and rifles left-handed! I am somewhat ambidextrous, but I eat and write left-handed. I can shoot a rifle right-handed, it is just not as comfortable to do so. 

I really like my Avenger Bullpup in .25 caliber. Very good gun for twice the money. It would be perfect if it had a more forward cocking lever and a bigger air plenum, but it is really good as is.

I have both an MTC and a Hawke scope. The Hawke is better in every way, glass, adjustments, quality.
