Ever get a cleaning wad stuck in the barrel???

Thanks guys shooting it out. Such an obvious solution, I’m embarrassed for not thinking of it. I field strip my 1911’s for cleaning all the time but I haven’t yet mustard up the courage to break down the rifle. What’s a “Grub screw” ? The screw under the stock securing the...

Ever get a cleaning wad stuck in the barrel???

First off it didn’t happen BUT…. First time cleaning the HW100, I must say I was a little nervous. As per a few utube videos I threaded fishing string down the barrel and tied on a cleaning wad (w/bore cleaning solution) and pulled it through. I repeated this a few times and it did job. ...

    First PCP Fill-up

Yes I was referring to the tank. The tank is rated to 4500 PSI but the gauge on the tank is using BAR. I think 280 BAR equates to around 4200psi. I’m new to this but figure the higher the pressure in the tank, the more refills. It’s a 94cf tank so I think I’m pretty set for a while.

    First PCP Fill-up

Thanks guys. yes I just barely cracked the valve to fill it. I think it filled quick because the gun wasn’t completely empty. I’m interested to see how the gun shoots as the air Diminishes into the yellow to red zone.

    First PCP Fill-up

Finally got the back ordered tank to fill my WH 100. I’ve read posts that many dive shops will only fill to 3000psi. The guy in the shop was patient and understanding of my newbieness. Didn’t realize it would take a half hour or more to filler-up Anyway, he filled it to “280 Bar” Mr Google...

    Soft case suggestions??

My setup with medium rings brings the height to 10” and the rifle is exactly 41”. On Optics Planet I found a “Boyt Harness Alaska Scope “ case. 44” Long but as usual, they don’t give the width. I emailed them for verification. Looks good and at $75 it should be of decent quality. In this...

    Soft case suggestions??

Yes, Midway says the 44” is for scopes rifle but it’s inside width is 8”. They have longer cases but at $29 it sounds sketchy.

    Soft case suggestions??

Always prefer to go American made but it’s not always a higher level of quality either. Just like foreign made rifles aren’t all necessarily cheap, or of lesser quality. Pretty much you get what you pay for. I’ll pay a little more (within reason) to buy American whenever possible.

    Soft case suggestions??

Looking for suggestions on a soft case for an HW-100 (Scoped / Carbine 41” barrel) thanks

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Humdinger I think your post is spot on. So depending on how often you shoot or what age you get into the sport pretty much dictates the cost/benefit scenario. I still have a vault full of 45acp and 9mm I need to shoot before I get to old to shoot straight. (Although I’ve been told...

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Good to know. My first inclination was to get a compressor, obviously for convenience. What I found is that they can cost into the thousands. I also read of many gunners unhappy with them breaking down. I figured if the higher end models were unpredictable then the cheaper ones would be a waist...

    Gun cylinder pressure release??

Will probably be using a dive shop or paintball facility. I have no idea why the manufacturer suggests that condensation would occur when the forum members make no mention of it. I’m new to this whole thing so That’s why I posted the question

    Gun cylinder pressure release??

    Gun cylinder pressure release??

Thanks guys Sorry I didn’t mention that it’s an HW-100 What prompted my question was something I read in the instruction manual. It says “After about 20 refills OR if you don’t use the gun for 4 weeks, you need to remove the cylinder and drain the condensed water”. Sounds plausible...

    Gun cylinder pressure release??

I apologize for the rookie questions but are you supposed to unscrew the cylinder from the gun to relieve the pressure when it’s not in regular use?? And if so what’s considered regular use ? Thanks

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Update Called the place and the guy says that 3000 is the maximum psi they will fill too. The upside is that it’s closer than the dive shop. Still haven’t checked out the Fire Dept.

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Thanks guys A suggestion was to look into a Paintball place. Turns out that there’s an Airsoft/Paintball facility at a Golf Driving range close by. Had no idea it was there. They only open on weekends so I’ll check it out tomorrow. Thanks again for the suggestions 🤙

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Thanks Originally thought about a compressor but think I should wait until I get into it and see how often I shoot and I actually need to refill. I’m a little older than some of you so I only have so many refills left 😳

    74 cu/ft tank ??

Got the news that my back ordered tank will be shipped next week. called the dive shop to learn that they won’t fill a tank to 4500 psi even if it’s rated for it. (No expectation why/we just don’t do it). Being new to the PCP world I’m curious about how many rifle refills 4500 psi would give...
