Luckily at 40 years old I have better than perfect vision 20/15 in my right eye 20/20 in my left. Everything else is broken though lol. I'm using a pretty decent scope also which helps things. Good luck in your surgery hope all goes well and heal quick.

I have not owned eather of them but rifles with a longer shoulder to front hand grip seem to be easier to shoot freestanding. Also look into using a sling to steady the gun.

Been playing with a air venturi avenger with a hawk vantage 4-12x50 . I come from the powder Gun world. Borrowed a buddy of mines chronograph tuned it down to 845 - 860 fps using the air arms field heavys 18gr. The mess on the right was my nice learning to shoot.

So I was target shooting the other day playing with some air arms field heavys. I was sighted in for 100yards and I saw a rat scurrying out of my shed. Luckily I had cut the grass that morning. I took a quick 2 moa hold over on it and smack . Instant kill.

What have you tried for pellets. Mine loved the air arms field heavys in 18 gr I'm going a shipment in tomorrow and will let you know what else it likes if any of the others are good. The gun is tuned a bit hot from the factory. Try a pellet in the 18 to 22 gr range. O I forgot to mention...

I looked into the aspen and ended up with the air venturi avenger with wood stock. Yes it is a bit more money but all I could think was how do you keep water out of the aspen.
