I got information this week from our local airgun dealer that all versions of Taipans have the regulator factory set at 140BAR. That sounds pretty much.... to me.

If I see correctly, you have the 45WTC version? I also noticed you're testing both JSB pellets and hybryd slugs. Thanks to the CZ barrel, it can shoot both. What real world experience do you have with it in terms of accuracy on target?

Today I had the opportunity to test the Kalibrgun Cricket II Tactical 60 WTC and 45WTC. I prefer compactness. The 60 version is a real cannon and frankly for some hunting, sneaking, etc. it really won't be. It's long and heavy. When you throw in those rifle scopes + bipod it becomes a 4.2kg lump...

Well, that's great! Too bad, I'm from far away :-) I read with interest your discussions about the compactness of the new Prophet. However, you agreed that it is quite noisy and needs to be retrofitted with a silencer. Doesn't it lose the "compactness" in that case?

Well, that's the joke. You're looking for a more compact version, but you still have to install a silencer because of the excessive noise, and the overall length ends up being on par with its bigger brother :-)

So of course Caiman and Caiman X have a regulator. I can't imagine an air rifle at this price point not having a regulator these days. The other thing is that if I have ambitions to play with a regulator I have to disassemble 1/2 a flintlock :-D

Let me ask you how many joules you're tuned to. The question is, how does one fit into a small flint like the caiman? No doubt I will have to try it!
