Do you keep your pcp “filled” with air?

I shoot often so I'm always above regulator. Funny, I asked this question couple years back and the consensus was " close to full ". Enjoy

    First PCP.

I can only add this. My hand pump that I purchased when I first got into PCP lasted as long as a shot of tequila. I had a compressor next day.

Yong Heng compressors: which is the best one to get?

Agree, Also not sure why the QX compressor is not more often recommended. I've had mine for over 2 years without issue. I will add however that I shoot solo and are only filling my guns.

    PCP air rifle cost

I have no qualms at all spending 1K + on an accurate airgun. They're more accurate than my powder burners, hearing protection not required and best of all.......my Border collie lays down beside me while I'm shooting. Lol The wife even enjoys shooting them, no recoil.

    Where Is Our Hobby Headed?

Here in rural part of VA local gun shops are only dabbling into Airguns. You must do diligent research and watch YouTube videos before ordering, no hands on unless I drive 2 hrs to the city.

Protect yourselves this season. Scammers abound!!!

They're everywhere and it's really sad.

Bad fire at one of my permissions

Prayers are a very effective offering.......I know as I went through much the same 8 years ago.

    AirForce Talon vs. Condor?

Airforce is a quite simple design but I like the build quality. My Talon is mainly used for squirrel hunting and really likes JSB exact 23.59 domed. 25 pellets. Somedays I'm really in the mood for a single shot platform.

    Air Arms S510 Tactical

Lol, well I may happen to agree and yes at one time I was a soldier but many prefer a tactical appearance. I have a friend who has carried a big knife ever since watching the movie Rambo, to each is own.

Is aim small/high magnification really the key to accuracy?

Find most of my target shooting is done on high magnification, clear optics is key. I'm actually exposing of daddy long legs on the wood pile at 27 yards and the legs are left quivering at point of impact. Lol The optics may be a major player here but will test the theories mentioned.

What caliber PCP's do you have and why?

I have (3) .22 PCP's and (1) .25 and exclusively shoot target with them. Simply can't justify going big bore due to many years of hunting with center fire and the accumulation of guns.

    Dry Firing

I believe every PCP I own gets dry fired down range for sake of safety protocol after every shooting session. Yes, stay within regulated power wheel.

    Loaner/Beater PCP?

I've had only a few ask to borrow a PCP and always reply that they must come by for a training session. No one has shown yet. Last time I loaned out a chainsaw, the user claimed it quit cutting.....after they hit a rock. 🙄

    Regulated or unregulated?

Smart man. I'm retired and did the same and yes it can get expensive, surprisingly more so than center fire. BUT being retired has me sitting at my gun range with coffee nearly every morning so feel some justification. BTW....my sister has been sending me a steady diet of photos from Moab and...

    Regulated or unregulated?

I have guns that I small game hunt with that are unregulated with power wheel " Airforce ". I also have guns that are regulated for precision bench shooting which I thoroughly enjoy. You likely won't settle for 1 gun going forward. My last 2 guns that I've purchased have been regulated and...

New to PCP: Talon SS vs Avenger

My Talon is simple and built like a tank but won't shoot as accurate as my long barreled bench guns, duh. Single shot never bothered me either and despite the above, Airforce won't disappoint with their build quality but Marauder would be a great choice as well. Imo

How often do you clean your barrel?

I clean the barrel of every new gun, then get on here and ask.....how often to clean a barrel. Your question makes complete sense but will admit, I'm waiting til accuracy suffers.

    Let there be light.

Ha ha, yes 20 000 lumens should do the trick. My brightest headlamp is 7,000 lumens and has recoil when I turn it on. Lol

    New To The Sport

Yep, that's quite the start but actually wish I'd have skipped the entry level guns as they simply hang on the wall. Having AOA at my fingertips would be brutal. Enjoy the wolf 👍
